My installation was super easy, pop off my existing cap, and this slipped right onto the pipe. Required some adhesive, which does not come with unit, nor does roof sealant if you had a different mounting. This product instantly removed foul black tank odors from inside trailer

This simple design really does work. I have not had even the slightest odor driving or parking even at 100 degee temperatures and an almost full tank. I have an older 2006 Winnebago that I bought used. After just 1 day using the waste tanks I would start to get a sewer odor inside. I tried replacing the toilet gasket, adding deoderizers to the tank, rolling the windows down, turning off the AC and everything else I could think of. The smell was present driving or while parked. I finally gave in and bought a vent pipe system that seemed like just a gimmick. I first bought the other big name one that rotated to wind direction. Before even installing it I read about how some flew off at high speeds and others stuck at low wind speed and actually stayed facing the wind forcing even more odors into the RV. I returned it and bought this one. This is version 2. You do not need to cut down the vent pipe to a certain height as the version 1 required. I had the most popular older snap on cap vent pipe. After removing the cap I snipped off the screw post. That is all that is required to install this unit. I went a step farther and snipped off the 3 posts that clipped to the old cap. Then using Dicor I used the flange incuded with the cap then the sleeve and the cap. It has a nice clean look. There was no need to cut, remore or tamper with the original vent cap seal at all. SIMPLE SIMPLE install, 5 minutes, no need to worry about leaks.

We had an issue while on an extended camping trip when the vent pipe on the black tank became obstructed. The smell was horrible. After removing the old vent cap and pouring water down the stack to clear the blockage, we purchased this cap to replace the old one. It took just a few minutes to install and the breeze around the campground was enough to clear the offending odors without having to tow the trailer anywhere. No issues or concerns since install after an additional 60 days camping in the trailer.

No more smell in the motorhome. Works amazing and took 5 minutes to put on.
