I live in a older home that doesn't have a doorbell. When at the back of the house, I can't hear people knocking - hence this purchase. I thought GREAT after UPS pushed it to let me know of a delivery. My daughter moved back from college a short time and when coming home late at night, she would lock her door with her remote causing the door bell to go off - scaring us half to death out of sleep because it's pretty loud. And the remote causes it to ring a different chime than I set it for (the basic ding dong). We figured it was just the remote and ask her not to use it late at night. Thanksgiving comes and my son come home and has the same car as her. Using his remote, it did the same thing. Thought? it must be on the same frequency at Subaru. Still no problem, but all the sudden one day it keeps going off (5X in one day) without car remote use and you can't stop the long creepy song without pulling the batteries. So, it is of no use to us - but you get what you pay for.

Love this wireless door bell. We have purchased 4 wireless doorbells in the last two years and none of the lasted very long and they were not cheap in price but cheaply made. Hated the chimes in them, too. This wireless door bell is easy to set what chime you would like and it's easy to mount to your door. To set the chime is in the main box which is really nice. We purchased one and you had to take the buzzer down because it was inside of that. Which was a pain. By the way, this was the first wireless door bell we purchased through Amazon. The others were purchased at stores where we live. We really like that you can set different chimes for each door.

Needs battery replacement too often. Nice chimes to choose from but thats about it.

This was easy to install and seems to work well. Our doorbell wasn't very loud and sometimes we couldn't hear it from upstairs. So I put his one on, set it up and it sound nice and seems louder than my old one. I did not take down the old one but have this one next to it at least for now. A few reasons for that. One I want to see how long it works until you need to replace the batteries, the other reason is I might move it to another door in my home. So far everyone that has rung my bell since this was put up rings the new one, guess they think the old one is broken, since this looks nice and new so it is getting its use. I like it.I did receive this at a slightly discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
