So yeh, it sure is waterproof. I bought these for use on couch and dog bed (I bought two) for times when my creek loving labs come in with swamp dampened fur. I never seem to get them fully dried off, so them having a towel or easy to clean blanket helps mop up the rest of their wetness. Been using it like so for few weeks now, washed them a couple of times. Feels dense but soft.How I found out that they are REALLY waterproof is that once in awhile one of my cats will decide to PEE on the couch or dog bed. I tossed this on their dog bed, which is sort of loose looking (as opposed to couch where it seems to stay straightened out), and I noticed that it was holding pee. The pee had not soaked into the material. SO I carefully picked it up and poured off the pee. In hindsight, I should have tossed a towel on it to soak up the pee instead of trying to walk through the house with a puddle of pee.It is waterproof. That's great. If using it to keep liquids from a place that can easily be washed, then this will do it. However, I would top it with something that can soak up the liquid. So for me, I will put this on the couch cushion then top it with a big towel or small easy to wash blanket. Then pee (or whatever) will hit that first, soak up, and THIS cover will keep the pee (or other liquid) from seeping down to cushion, mattress, etc.It's durable feeling material, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for providing extra protection from nails, claws, wear and tear and such, as well as the waterproof aspect. One of the pictures from a review shows what I experienced: the liquid sits on top. So yeh, it is waterproof.I'll update if I experience anything else worth sharing, especially if I notice it not working anymore.

I got this product after being fed up of the disposable pee pads and then the reusable/washable ones. The idea was to get a sheet my 9 week old puppy could pee on while she’s working on growing her bladder capacity (which will grow with her age) (also we live in an apartment on the second floor, so poor baby had a few accidents just outside the door/ in the lobby - you get the point.) So I got this so we could avoid that when she really needs to go reaaallyy fast (this is usually right after indoor play or other moments of excitement.)Now product: if you haven’t realized yet, I definitely think it’s completely worth it.• is totally hydrophobic which means water is not absorbed. It stays clear on top and that makes it extremely easy to clean up. And also to deodorize and sanitize.• it is really durable. By that I mean the stitching is good and the material is tough. Mine is an extremely enthusiastic kid, so she fights with the floor once in a while and this product has shown no damage whatsoever.• it does not crinkle. The material is soft on skin and it doesn’t crinkle or make other plasticky sounds. So your puppy won’t feel like he/she is walking on a “toy”. Which makes it easy to be accepted by the puppy.• it’s two sided/reversible. Didn’t make a lot of difference to me, but maybe you’ll like to keep it fresh by swapping between the two available colors on your product.Uses:• the first one I bought was to be spread in the living area as a temp floor cover for the play area. It’s so good, and looks so nice, I’m literally using it as an area rug (it remains her play area but I don’t take it off, unless I’ve to wash it)• I bought the second one because it turned out to be made out of durable material. I use it as a bedsheet on the couch when we are using the couch. The couch is leather and she loves to dig. Because of this sheet, she can dig if she’s in a mood and we can use the couch stress free.• just placed an order for a third one. I intend to use it as a backup for the rug or as a mat for when we chill in the patio (it’s comfortable enough for the both of us to sit on it 🤷🏻‍♀️)So yeah. 11/10 would recommend it.

Good product haven't washed it yet but I suspect if washed properly it will do well. I have three one on the couch and two bed ones .Look very nice.

Bought it to cover things like the couch and in the van floor for our new puppy. Works like a charm! No pee pee on the van - the cover caught it! Put a towel on top of the little puddle for the rest of the van ride. Liked it so much we bought a second one
