Totally Breathable!
Like many others, I shoved my face into the mattress and could breathe right through it. The mattress cover feels pretty plush, which is a nice contrast to the firm core. It fits perfectly snug into my IKEA Myllra crib. I think it’s brilliant that there’s a built in water proof toddler side. This will be a mattress that can be used for many many years. Side note, this is eligible for the Baby Registry completion discount, unlike the Newton.

If you're on the fence, just buy it!
We just started sleep training our son and I was so worried about him suffocating in the middle of the night because he's able to roll on his belly now. We had a firm waterproof memory foam mattress that was NOT breathable at all. If you put your face on it, there was no way you could breathe. I stumbled upon the Newton mattress and was able to justify the price point because ya know, if it saves my son's life, it's priceless - but as I was doing more research online, one of the forums I went on mentioned the Halo DreamWeave mattress and how it was essentially the same but for a fraction of the price. When I found it on Amazon, I knew this was the way to go. I bought this at 2AM and to my surprise, it was delivered to my house at 10AM that same day. We are so happy with this mattress! It's still firm but a little more plush than the other one we had so our son sleeps a lot better. We haven't dealt with blowouts yet but it's so nice knowing that you can just throw this in the shower and rinse it out.I would highly recommend this product and now I do to all my friends!

Haven’t used yet but like that it is breathable
The mattress pad that comes with the bassinet is so thin I wish they sold it with this mattress pad instead for the price of the bassinet. This mattress is breathable and has a washable core and cover and looks like the crib mattress from newton. I am hoping this will be comfier for baby than the thin pad that comes with halo bassinet and I feel I will have peice of mind since it is breathable. I didn’t want to splurge but I thought why have the newton crib mattress and then not buy this mattress pad for my baby when baby will be at greatest sids risk while in bassinet. I’ll update later if baby likes it.
