This was a fantastic purchase-- one that I am more than happy with. The package came in a tightly packed heavy cube. Regardless of whether you have no trouble lifting a box that is more than 30 pounds or so, this is going to be a two person operation for reasons below you will see why.The smell issue that some folks have with these toppers was not a problem for me, although the foam felt somewhat "wet" for lack of a better term -- although it was by no means soaked. Unfolding it takes patience and a gentle touch, as I felt that working fast would tear it.The cover at first makes you think that it won't fit the bed (spoiler: it does). I went to lunch and came back a few hours later and it was all ready to put on the bed. My girlfriend and I carefully moved it on the best from the floor-- we had the distinct feeling that we would tear the bed if we werent both moving it. if I had to do it again, we would have unpacked it ON the bed, but no harm no foul.Ok, what really matters-- how it feels. The 2 1/2 is absolutely awesome. I have slept on a tempur-pedic and this was as good if not better than that. The "cool" tech feature of this is for real. I generally am a hot sleeper, and while I haven't benched marked this product in the summer -- it certain has performed as promised so far. The foam is very, very high quality-- while this isn't a big box store bottom price, it isn't a store bought product-- It does a great job balancing firmness with the yielding nature of a memory foam product, which you won't find on lesser models.In short - worth every dollar and I would buy this again and again if I was doing this over.

Purchased an Aerus mattress topper a year ago for our queen memory-foam mattress. These toppers are excellent!!!! The quality is unbeatable! The Aerus topper keeps me the coolest of any memory foam...hands down. I haven't had one night of waking up too warm since purchasing this topper. And it is sooo soft and snuggly. It feels and looks as good as it did the day I bought it (a year ago). I was so impressed that I bought a full-sized Aerus topper for our memory foam mattress in our guest room. The cover is also of excellent quality (and it zips on three sides making it easy to put on the topper). The toppers do not have the chemicals/off-gassing that many others do. These are better for the environment and us. A VERY BIG MUST BUY!!!! UPDATE: Just bought 2 more for my parents and my daughter...Can't say enough about these toppers!!!!UPDATE: All of these toppers are still doing the job!!! Looks and feels like the day we purchased them!!! EXCELLENT!

I cannot believe I waited so long to get a mattress topper (Foamex Aerus Natural 2-1/2-Inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper with Cover, Full), and this one couldn't be better. I haven't slept so well in years. I used to toss and turn all night trying to get comfy, now I hardly notice. I have shoulder pain from an old injury and this seems to be the ticket to a good nights sleep. I've only been using the foam topper for less than a week, but I won't be giving this up soon. When I opened the box and pulled the topper out it was wrapped in a secure plastic bag. There was very little smell from the foam topper, and that only lasted for one day. The foam is dense and I was surprised at how firm the topper felt when I lay down the first night, but as I didn't wake up at all I know this is doing the job. The only issue I had was with the cover. The cover I received wasn't the one in the description, but a mattress pad. I contacted Amazon and we have resolved the issue. I will be keeping the mattress pad; it is from Foamex and is high quality. I choose this topper for a number of reasons: the high praise in the reviews, that it is made from natural and renewable resources, and that it is manufactured in the U.S.A. I was willing to pay a bit extra for the quality, and it was money more than well spent.

So after trying out 3 other similar products ranging in price from 88-179 dollars, I decided to spend a bit more and got what I was looking for.I had been sleeping on an expensive $300+ memory foam mattress topper that was about 5 years old and it was pretty close to perfect still. Recently a family member who has severe back trouble had recently called and complained to me about her mattress hurting her back. So I decided to give her the foam I was using and go out and buy myself a discount topper(big mistake). The first one I tried was 2.5lb foam made in the USA and set me back 99 bucks, I only used it for 2 nights and found it to be so soft that once I sunk into it, my mattress actually seemed worse than with no pad. The second was 88 dollars and was made in China out of 3lb foam and was slightly more supportive, however it smelled like a toxic waste dump with a very burnt plastic aroma so it went back as well. Third was a $179 shredded memory foam topper that felt alright in the store sample, but when I got it home had many hard rock-like chunks of "foam" suffused with softer chunks of shredded foam so it was worthless too, imagine a mattress pad thats 3/4 feathers and 1/4 gravel. I just want to know, how someone came up with the idea to sell foam "waste" product for $179 and not bother to take out the hard chunks of unformed foam in the mix.Finally a topper that is supportive, soft enough and doesn't smell like something that I feel an instinctual need to escape from. I guess when it comes to memory foam like many other things the old adage "you get what you pay for" is generally true.
