Works ok as long as you do not use car controls
So, let me start with saying that it's a branded DMC 20218 unit. Package contents arrived as described by the seller and included: the bluetooth adapter itself (DMC 20218) plus a mic with 3.5 mm jack, usb extension cable and 3.5mm aux input cable. Installation process was pretty straightforward – just plugging the bluetooth module to the back of the Mazda's head unit. It took me about 20 min to install and do all wiring including connecting an external mic. Pairing my phone wasn't a problem either.Now the sad part. I primarily use this product as a bluetooth transmitter of Spotify music from my iPhone 6 and answering phone calls when driving. And this bluetooth module works ok until you start using steering wheel or head unit controls to: rewind/skip tracks, answer/reject calls. As soon as you do any of the above said head unit turns itself off and you need to turn it back on and switch back to EX mode. Don't touch controls and you'll be enjoying your favorite music with no problem whatsoever.I am going to try contacting the seller and replacing the unit to see if it's any better.
