Q: Does this leave lint behind? I've tried microfiber clothes and they still leave lint on my art substrates - will this be better?

No, the Chamois do not leave lint behind. As with any tool of cleaning, keeping it clean helps the product to last and to bring a very clean look to all surfaces.

Q: Quick question as i just got my order. does dr bronner count as hand soap in terms of caring for this chamois?

Thanks for asking. As long as the soap you are using is for hand/body use, it should be fine. Before you use a chamois for the first time, you’ll need to wash it in lukewarm water with a mild soap. Preferably a car wash soap. Make sure not to use harsh chemicals like bleach or degreasers like dish soap! Soaps that aren’t intended for use on a vehicles finish may damage your chamois. FYI: Because the shammy is tanned with fish oils, this initial wash helps to remove excess oil from the material. You might see a yellow tinge to the water, don’t worry. This is just the excess oil. Rinse the cloth in clean water and then fold the chamois over several times and twist until all the waters squeezed out. You want to repeat these steps until the water is clear.

It will dry water from any surface, but it is small for a large floor
