Not my favourite of Simons
Being a huge Paullina Simon's fan and the bronze horseman being my all time favourite book, I was really excited when this trilogy came out. I must say, I am hugely disappointed. I get that she is trying something new but in my opinion, it doesn't work. I have read all her books and mostly I cannot put them down but these books I just didn't enjoy. I didn't like the characters much, except Devi. The stories of him going back to different era's was quite interesting but it was all just so predictable. These books were nowhere near what I was expecting going by her other books. I hate giving this bad review because she genuinely is one of my favourite authors, but I can honestly say I won't be reading these again, something that I do over and over with her other books like the bronze horseman trilogy and a song in the daylight and others. I hope in her next books she is back to her sparkling self.

Probably won’t read the next one
The book started off pretty well and fast paced with lots happening but feel once you got half way it became pretty slow and story dragged. The concept of the story is really interesting however I don’t know if I’ll read the next two books of the series. The books have had great reviews in the past so it could just be my taste in novels.

All the stars!
The Tiger Catcher is book 1 in The End of Forever trilogy and it has quickly become one of my very favourite books. I adore the story (even though at parts it breaks my heart!) so very much. Julian and Josephine’s story has charmed their way into my soul. I cannot wait to read more of their story. Book 2 The Beggar’s Kingdom is coming out in August and book 3 Inexpressible Island is out in December. This is a story you do not want to miss!

Not Paulinna’s usual standard....
This book was easy to read but I found the story ridiculous. I won’t be bothering with the sequels as I just don’t care enough about the characters to find out what happens!
