DK ACEP First Aid Manual 5th Edition: The Step-by-Step Guide for Everyone

The paper back book is compact and loaded with helpful information in easy to understand wording. It has an abundance of clear photographic illustrations and it covers every first aid emergency you might encounter at home, on the road, camping, etc. I also like that it puts emphasis on special handling of infant and child first aid. I recommend this book as an essential addition to any family first aid supply kit.

Clear and concise First Aid regerence

日本では、なかなかここまでわかりやすく作るのは難しいかもしれません。20年前に、同じ様な応急処置ガイドブックを読んで感銘を受けた時と同じです。英語が苦手だから購入しようか迷っているなら、全く心配ありません。写真がふんだんに使われていて、疾病名がわからなくても何となくわかるくらいのクオリティーです。特に小さなお子さんのいらっしゃるご家庭にオススメします。こういった本が必要であると同時に、こどもだからこそ、感覚でこの本を理解できるはずです。家族みんなで読んでほしい一冊です。

I got a couple of these for my teenage boys that always find a way to injury themselves. Put in their first aid bags I made them. Not sure how much they will look at it but I found it easy to follow and informative. I looked at several different first aid books and found this one to be the best

This is a nice reference for someone serving in a personal or volunteer emergency first aid capacity to supplement your basic first aid courses. I bought it because of the great balance between many photos and detailed text. Also like how it's organized for quick reference and has cross references within the text to similar situations.It was published in 2014, however, so it's starting to become dated. My first aid instructor pointed out that ACEP has revised and updated several of their guidelines and recommendations in the past decade, so a few things in here are not current best practice. (She liked this book's content/design, but won't recommend it until a new edition is printed.)If you're aware of that caveat however, I think it's still a worthy purchase. Maybe also look for another more updated reference that covers recent changes to first aid recommendations.
