A Second Opinion
I'm not one of those rich YouTubers who has the resources to buy whatever products they want to review(most of them actually just get it for free straight from the manufacturer - a small compromise for free advertising to make the company tens of thousands back in return, if not more). But my appetite to own electronic gadgets is just as unsatiatiable, if not more than, as theirs. So the short version is I buy used or refurbished/renewed/reconditioned electronics, and if I like them, I'll come on here and give you an everyman's perspective on them.I found out about this Edifier system from a tech article, so I researched both the speakers and the company. In a nutshell, Edifier is like the Xiaomi of phones, the TCL of TVs, the Asus of laptops - non-descript manufacturers that make pretty decent quality products at low prices. Now, to be completely honest, because of the lack of their brand recognition, this system at $150 - is that worth it? Just add $50 and you can get a set of Harman Kardon Soundsticks III, which is a world-famous brand, and excellent audio quality. So for me, that is not worth it. However, I got these at a pretty much like-new condition for $40, just missing the retail box. I'm not sure if it was a price error, but $150 new and $40 used in mint condition is a huge gap, and at $40, these speakers are an absolute steal. The sound is very good - not as good as the SoundSticks, which has a bunch of tweeters and can output highs very nicely. The sound on the Edifier has good, warm mids, and lows are a bit muted, but still strong - 30 watts RMS. I think if you're a gamer, these are for you, since you don't need a neutral-sounding(for audiophiles) or glass-shattering system(for movie buffs). It's just a good computer-speaker system. Because let's face it, the looks are what you bought it for. If the Soundsticks are to Apple, then these Edifiers represent a PC gamer. So if you can find these speakers for below $100, that is a much better value.

Very nice
A tad bass heavy with audio quality which outpaces most standard files. I had to dig for a studio reference of Vivaldi's five seasons before i could find any clipping at all. It's just shy of audiophile quality when positioned correctly and sounds like it cost another 200 bucks more than you pay for it....The woofer looks like a sci-fi helmet...but it rocks so whatever.

Was expecting a bit more on the sound front.
Sounds gets a bit distorted, I read some reviews on this before I purchased and it was pretty high on some sites list for 2.1 sound. But after trying it myself I can say the sound left me underwhelmed, there is very clear distortion, dialogue can get difficult to understand and the base isn't super good. It can be loud, and its attractive looking but that's about it. Definitely lags behind my Harman Kardon SoundSticks very significantly.Pros -Ok sound -attractive look -Bluetooth (the main reason for this purchase) works -controller is pretty coolCons -Bass is loud (expected more out of this) -Gets loud but also adds distortion at a very uncomfortable rate

Amazing for the price
I don't ever write up product reviews but have to for these. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but for the price point these blew me away. Out of the box the sound was a bit fuzzy through my PC, but after playing with ASUS software equalizer a bit they sounded better than I could have imagined for what they are. Super clear sound that I haven't heard at the under $200 price point for anything but maybe Bose, and those didn't have the volume that these do. The sub could be a bit difficult to find a place for from the odd shape depending on your space that you have, but that's a minor issue at most. I would recommend creating multiple presets on an equalizer for different things like gaming, movies, videos that are mostly speaking, and different genres of music - this will make a difference, but that's a recommendation I'd make with any set of speakers. I haven't tested the Bluetooth connectivity yet, but I imagine there won't be any issues.
