NOT a Leather Case
My husband loved the compass as a gift, but I was disappointed when he took it out of the box and it was pleather (plastic “leather”). This was a disappointment as there are other options out there and I chose this one because it said it had a leather case. The case is a cheap lie made to resemble the look of leather, but it fails. The compass itself is nice and sturdy looking.

Excellent for the outdoor lover!
My nephew wanted a compass and this exceeded his expectations! It's beautiful, looks well made, and operates well. He immediately strapped it to his belt loop and went for an outdoor excursion on Christmas.
