As other reviewers have noted, the one-foot minimum focus kind of works against the concept. Any fisheye gives it's most dramatic effect close-up, if that's what you're going for. I read a review of these elsewhere that said the glass is very good, but the construction involves a lot of plastic, so don't expect it to last years and years. For the amount of use this will get in my life, I'm sure it's more than adequate. Sharpness at my camera's medium size setting was kind of a pleasant surprise. Frankly, I hated to pay what this cost, but with decent specialty name-brand lenses -starting- at twice the price, the solid feel and image quality are plenty good for my needs.

It's a good lens for the money but it is really hard to manual focus this thing

Awesome lens, excellent quality and great image quality. Used on a Sony a6500.

Build quality is great, and the image production is pretty good. Set focusing to anywhere from 6" to 2' with an f/stop around 5.6-8 and you can't really miss.

easy to use. No need to fiddle with manual focusing, almost everything is sharp at 3.5 and good enough at 2.8, lovely pictures for a fun fisheye effect at a low cost.

Manual lens but really easy to use. Great pics, small, light and solid build. 180degree perspective.I use it with Sony a6000.

A gift to my son and he loved it

This thing is a lot of fun, almost a 180 fisheye on a cropped sensor.

This is a sharp lens and I have tried it with Sony Alpha 5100. It is generally easycto focus.
