WatermanInk for Fountain Pens, 50 ml, Tender Purple (S0110750)

I used to get my inks for my fountain pens at a local store, but it closed down, so I am forced to order online.This is the same ink I have always purchased. Waterman ink works beautifully for my fountain pens, and writes smoothly and easily. I like the colours and the reliability of Waterman inks.

Does what it says on the tin. A nice purple ink that flows well and dries fast enough for me as a lefty, even on Rhodia paper. (Your mileage may vary, of course.)It's the exact shade I think of when I think "purple ink," or perhaps a dark violet; it's dark, but not approaching black, very legible on any paper I've used it on, and I just think it looks great. It doesn't really have any subtle shading to it, but it doesn't claim to or need to. I love Sailor's Grenade ink (Sailor Jentle Grenade Ink Bottle), but sometimes I really don't need or want the "textured" shading it has. And, of course, I want purple!I'm very happy with this ink. It's a bit plain, if you can call purple "plain," but it does exactly what I want it to do and does it well.

This ink flows nicely in my Monteverde fountain pen and yields rich purple on paper. I've never had an issue with clogging or with funk growing in the bottle. The ink is not waterproof, but you'll be hardpressed to find fountain pen ink that is, as waterproof inks will clog fountain pens terribly. This performs well, appears to have good staying power in that it doesn't fade on the paper, and is currently my default ink shade.

this ink has some great qualities. It dries pretty fast. It's very smooth, doesn't clog my pen. Actually the ink is great. The color has some issues. I wanted purple, bright vivid royal purple. The color of violets. This starts a purple, but after drying it turns more blue. I al isong a pen with a very wet nib and a broader nib. It isn't bad, it just isn't the color I expected.

Ink is good quality, although I would prefer a little darker. Smooth writing and no bleed through! I would recommend and will probably order an additional color, too.

Expected cartridges instead of bottled ink

I have a couple of pens with fine nibs that were starting and stopping because the ink was clogging before it reached the end of the nib.. One of the online forums for fountain pen freaks like me said that Waterman's inks are free-flowing, so I ordered some. I love this color. It's a purple with a balanced red/blue ratio so it's neither bright nor dull - just a nice solid purple. It completely solved the problem of the clogged nib, and writes a line that's smooth as glass.
