After the unpleasant, self indulgent mess that was Hot Chip's Bugged Out Mix, the underground brand have wisely returned to their finest compilation series, Suck My Deck, championing their newest superstar, Brodinski.The French DJ has produced a mix that encapsulates the sound of the amazing electro/techno parties. Duke Dumont remixes Late of The Pier's Bathroom Gurgle for the opener, following with a dark, bouncy sound including the fantastic Riva Starr remix of Voices. Tracks by Boy 8-Bit (Wolfen), Bugged Out hero Tiga (Shoes), Tom Flynn and Iron Curtis feature.The mix has elements of minimal and percussion, as well as bassy house and noisy techno. At 24 tracks, it has a relentless party style, with Brodinski switching genres impressively. The mixing is very creative and almost flawless. A great debut, and a return to form for Bugged Out compilations.
