This detailed leaf impression necklace is one of a kind; due to the unique method of using real plant life, it could never be exactly duplicated. To make it, I impressed silver metal clay with a hydrangea leaf from my garden, and carved the edges by hand. I then kiln-fired it, resulting in a solid piece of 99.9% fine silver. I have oxidized and polished the leaf to bring out the veining details. (The back is solid with a hand-drawn crosshatch texture.) It features a round faceted chalcedony quartz stone in a dark cool-toned forest green, wire wrapped by hand in sterling silver. ***DIMENSIONS: 18 inch sterling silver ball/bead chain. Leaf and stone drop down approx 3 inches from chain.
