First of all I want to share that I live in Oklahoma city urban area to give a more specific views on the quality of water here.It has been 4 months since I installed the Waterdrop under sink water filter to improve the taste and quality of my tap water. Here's my experience with the installation, performance, and overall value of this system.Water Taste and Clarity: The filtered water tastes significantly better than my tap water, no smells. It's clear and the chlorine taste/odor/sediment has been greatly eliminated.Flow Rate: The water flow rate is good (reasonably slower than before installation)Filter Lifespan: I've been using the filter for 4 months and it's still performing well with no reduced flow rate compared to 4 months ago.

Our city changed from watershed to well, bringing hard minerals and strong taste to our home. Rather than put in an expensive home-wide water treatment, we wanted to address our drinking water and live with our otherwise fine city water supply for our other uses. An under-sink filter in our kitchen was all we wanted.I spent weeks looking at all the ways and wiles of water purification, products, prices, specifications, life. This filter handles cleaning away bad tastes and substances, including microplastics, offers up to 40X the filter life (comes with a 2 year timer), costs about 1/3 its nearest competitor, and took me about 20 minutes to install.I was concerned its flow rate would be a problem, but we felt we could live with it, as we use that sink for cooking and drinking only. We did not notice even the slightest loss of flow from our faucet!So, thumb’s up for flow rate, price, performance, cartridge life, and ease of installation. I shoulda been a plumber!

I have had this for a couple of years now, and it has been a great addition to our home. It filters out the chlorine taste and improve our drinking water. I installed it by myself with no skill. The instructions really helped, just make sure you have a wrench that fits the joints. Moreover, the customer service is excellent, after a few years of use, I had a leak with one of the component , and after contacting them, they sent a replacement component out right away. I am happy with this filter set up and would recommend it to anyone. It is perfect for a household of 2, we use it for drinking water, cooking and watering plants.

To filter our water, easy to install

I am 60 years old (lady) and installed this filter on my own within just 15 minutes. If I can do it, anyone can. It is so simple to install and my water pressure is amazing. The water is crystal clear and there is absolutely no gross smell or taste.I highly recommend this filter.

The media could not be loaded. I can’t speak to longevity just yet, but the materials feel solid and sturdy, not “cheapie”. Aesthetically pleasing and matches our current kitchen setup. I actually like the feel and look of this faucet better than I do the main one. Other than having a slightly hard time pushing the drill bit while drilling a hole into the current stainless steel sink, at weird angles mind you, (I’m a 29 y/o female, with VERY basic plumbing skills) the rest of the process was very easy and well explained in the written instructions. There’s a video here on amazon too that I watched ahead of time and it helped me get a head start once I received the package. I actually took the advice of a prior purchaser and reviewer and only drilled the hole big enough for the bottom piece to go through. I didn’t really see the purpose in making the hole SO BIG.... just something for any purchasers to keep in mind.Box came with everything except hole drill bit. You’ll have to either purchase one in the size suggested by seller or, I personally used a 5/16 brad point drill bit (embarrassingly enough I also used a masonry drill bit at the beginning because I wasn’t strong enough to push the brad point in and make the initial hole; RIP masonry drill bit). Anyways, clearly I used what I had on hand and made due with it and literally have no idea what the proper way to do this was other than purchasing that saw tooth circular cutting thingy you can buy to make holes in sinks. But I’m more of a I-wanna-have-this-done-now-no-matter-how-I-get-it-done, kinda girl.The water tastes just as good as our Brita filtered water pitcher. I did notice that the water has more “particulates” but I’m pretty sure the Brita was filtering out some of the good things we need from water too, so I’m not too concerned over it.We’re excited to use it and hope it lasts us a long time. And seeing as we live in a very small space, having some kitchen counter back from being held hostage by the brita pitcher is awesome!So far so good.

Product was really easy to install. We have a complicated setup under our sink (it’s been twenty years since a filter was installed) anc needed to get a different output tube and the company sent it to us free of charge. We had 3/8” input and output tubes. It also came w plumbers tape. Really pleased with product, ease of install and customer service.

I will preface by saying I normally do not write Amazon reviews. This product has irritated us so greatly that I felt the need to share my experience. Installation was very straightforward; the provided hardware and instructions were enough to get set up in unter 20 minutes. We ran water through the filter like the instructions said, and everything was great for two weeks.Then, we saw a huge drop in water pressure. By itself this isn't a large problem, but because of the low pressure, the water coming out of the tap is scalding hot unless you get out your protractor and adjust the angle of the faucet to 0.1 degrees from the off position. All other faucets in the house have a larger threshold, and this isn't a problem. But in our kitchen, it's impossible to wash dishes or our hands in the sink without risk of first degree burns. We've adjusted our water heater, but the water still comes out scalding after a few seconds.
