A good choice
I spent some time deliberating between which infuser to buy for my son. He was very happy with this one.

I love this tea infuser.
I like this loose tea infuser , it looks lovely and I have had no trouble using , ,great to use my range of loose leaf tea as it is as quick as using a tea bag. Nice and portable . The copper colour is really eye catching.

In-cup filters of the best kind
I'm not a fan of those novelty tea strainers that became popular with the resurgence of loose tea a while back. The ones with a narrow opening that makes it hard to get tea into, or a narrow body that doesn't allow for the leaves to unfurl, or an awkward shape that makes cleaning difficult, or perhaps large holes that don't stop leaves sneaking out. What I am a fan of are basic, well-made filters that solve all of those things. My existing go-to filter shares a lot of similarity with this one, with some differences. The holes are, I think, laser-cut and are likely as small as you're reasonably able to get. They extend around the sides and the bottom, allowing the water to get to all parts of the tea but preventing all but the smallest of bits to get out. If you absolutely don't want anything escaping, you probably need the empty bags not a filter. This filter is a touch narrower than my existing one, though still has a nice wide top and straight edges giving plenty of volume. This narrower profile means it also fits into a couple of glasses that my other does not. It adds a couple of silicone pads around the two "wings" which help with stability in larger mugs, and prevent damage to the cup.The lid is dual purpose, first to keep a little of the heat in (if you need) and second to act as a rest for the removed filter once the tea is brewed. It itself has a silicone hat over its top side, presumably to protect any surface it's placed on. I've found this a little loose and may consider removing it entirely. An important point to note is the coating. Primarily, it means that the filter is not safe to put in the dishwasher. You might get away with it a few times, but after a while the abrasive will damage this coating. I did wonder what the point was, especially because all of my others are dishwasher-safe, but it feels like this coating makes it easier to remove dried tea leaves from the filter. A brush of the finger removed most, but I'm still unconvinced the tradeoff is worth it.So if you want an in-mug reusable filter, these types of filters are definitely the way to go. They have plenty of room to allow tea to fully open out, and the holes' size makes less mess. For me the coating and that slightly awkward silicone lid cover make it not perfect, but it's definitely one that will continue to get use.

Perfect for herbal teas
I used to have a loose leaf tea strainer flask, but not one for cups and teapots. This one is perfect for making tea in cups and pots.It is simple to use, just like a small sieve really. The lid is a really nice addition too, it helps keep the heat in, especially when teapot lids do not fit over it.The handles have a light silicone coating, so they do not get too warm to the touch

Looks great and works perfectly
Very stylish and good looking ... better than the drab stainless steel infusers. East to clean and perfect for a single cup of tea. You can also use this for gin infusions using herbs and spices !

great quality filter with really dense little holes
Actually this tea filter has a good quality. The filter itself is very dense as you can see from my picture. This is desirable as sometimes some of the leaves would slip off from the holes.Secondly, it sits perfectly on my mug. Mymug is a normal size mug got from ikea (which my husband bought a set of eight) so it fits great on all of them.. I would say it should fit all standard size mugs.Thirdly, the little lid is cute and can keep your tea warm. One thing to notice that, the manufacturer only engraved the logo inside the lid which is very thoughtful.Fourthly, it is made from stainless steel but not in traditional steel colour , kind of copper ish colour. This may give you a nostalgic feeling while enjoying your loose tea

Works really well but my tea has a funny metallic taste since using it
At first I thought it was great.... it's very well designed with the rubber on the handles so your fingers don't get burnt. Its pretty similar to my existing one, accept mine has a longer handle and no lid and this one works just as well as my old one. Though this one has a lid with it (or drip tray) which helps to keep the heat in when brewing which I like. This also doesn't let a lot through either accept for a bit if tea dust ... but no actual leaves get through it which is great.HOWEVER I've noticed that my tea seems to have a metallic taste since using it. At first I thought it was just the tea bag but as it's from the same box as the last 2 weeks and its happened every time I've used it I've now come to the conclusion that it's this giving my tea a funny taste.... maybe to do with the copper.Hence I've given it 2 stars as its not very good if it makes my tea taste vile. The price also isn't shown. I'd not expect this to be much more than £7.Anyway if I find its not this making my tea taste vile I will update to a 4 star but I'm not sure I want to try it again.I hope you found this helpful. Do let me know if you did :)

3.5 stars. Attractive, easy to use & clean. A bit pricey though but a good quality clever idea
This is so much easier to use than a teapot for a single cup of tea. I use it all the time now as I'm the only person in the family who tends to use loose tea often. It's great for a single cup. Because it has plenty of holes it infuses the tea flavour into the water very quickly, so no lengthy time waiting for a brew up.The holes are very small and so I haven't had many issues with leaves ending up in the cup.Simple to clean and I find the design aesthetic very attractive.I think it's a bit pricey for what it is, but it is actually one of the better designs of this type of device as it is really simple to use
