A lovely birthday tribute for my recently lost cousin
Great value for the money but no instructions were included so the 1st 1 we tried burned up before It left the ground. Then thankfully I read some reviews.* First CAREFULLY right out of the package, while flat, personalize the lantern.* Gently (lantern paper is extremely fragile) open up sides & pouf out. (** Important tip ** seems obvious but make sure ALL sides are away from the cardboard fuel pack in the bottom center of the lantern)* Make sure you have a bucket or hose ready in case of any mishaps. (We had a hose but thankfully didn't need it. What can I say?? I'm a Girl Scout leader so better safe than sorry... it's just part of the training 😁)* In a cleared concrete area, light bottom cardboard pack (use a BBQ lighter. We didn't have 1 so we used a lighter & it was definitely more challenging)* Set up where you plan to launch from.* Best to have 2 people. 1 to hold the top up & watch that any of the sides don't go near the flame. The 2nd person to light the fuel pack.* Make sure that the bottom ring is flush to the ground. Gaps will make the process take longer.* Once lit, other than pulling the sides out to keep the flame from burning them, don't move the lantern.* Stay by it at ALL times. There was the slightest breeze but the lantern kept trying to tip over so thankfully we were able to keep it from falling over.* Once the sides expanded we had to give it a little lift / nudge to get the lantern airborne.* Then it floated up to the heavens along with our love & birthday wishes.I really love that we could personalize her lantern before the launch.

Great product and helped make a perfect memorial
They are way bigger than I expected but I love them! They work great and are crafted well. They’re amazing and helped my sister greave when she lost someone very close. She couldn’t make his funeral so we used these as way to have our own memorial for him and it was beautiful

Great Memorial lantern
When searching through dozens of listings, I settled on these because they were the right price. We loved that we could write a wish or prayer to our loved one on the lantern before lighting it. But I have to say my favorite thing was that there was no metal. When it’s lit it all burns so there’s no leftover debris. As with all lanterns, it does take a bit to light and float and is easier with two people. We will buy again to mark the anniversary of my brothers passing.

Flew like birds
Ordered these and the CAMTOA brand Paper Lanterns with 3 Pens,CAMTOA 11 Pack Chinese Lanterns White. If you’re debating, go with these. We used a regular permanent maker and wrote on them. It was a little windy and misty and they still flew without any problems. Also these come with the wax already attached. Only caveat was they didn’t send 10 like advertised but the costumer service was exceptional. If I ever need these again (and I hope not), I would order these without hesitation.
