This is a beautiful piece of steel. It came well packaged and protected with cling on either side, is very thick and sturdy and looks great. I put it on my vanity when I am microneedling so I can clean it with alcohol and have a safe surface to keep things sterile. It is flat and sturdy and the lip is great. There are no sharp edges, it's in impeccable condition and cleans like a dream. I would just as readily use it for any number of applications and would consider buying a large size for my kitchen. Great buy.

I didn't realize how much I would like this. It is very helpful when I am kneeding dough and it's also helpful to have to just cut things on and it's also helpful to have something to sit hot pots on. I really like this product. It's made my kitchen look so much better.No one from the company has asked me to make this review. It is solely my feelings and understanding of the product.

Update: Still loving the two boards I got. They do tend to slide around and the granit countertops. The first was the largest size that I wanted for making cinnamon rolls. My wooden board has a lip on the back making it hard to roll dough out to the edges. This board came with just one blemish from shipping. A corner of the board was dinged bit I was able to straighten it.The prep board itself is nice. It is a heavy gauge of stainless steel that should hold up for a long time, but it is a bit unwieldy when moving it around due to the size and weight. I also received a nice scraper to clean off debris, I am not sure of the material it is make of but it works well.That said, the edges on the second board I bought were very rough and jagged, not to the point of being dangerous but if I had not noticed it there could have been damage my countertops. The board took quite a while to get here but that was not an issue.The packaging could have been better on the second board. The heavy prep board was just put in a much larger box with nothing to keep it from moving around. I am fairly surprised it made it in as good of shape as it was. I also did not get any scraper with the second board. I am sure it is quite inexpensive but they are nice to have.I would be inclined to look for a different seller for a product like this.

I had purchased an IKEA Bror utility cart that the showroom displayed in a kitchen so I assumed it was food safe. Quickly discovered that a raw plywood top is NOT food safe so I did a search for a topper, rather than choosing to stain and seal. This item popped up and it fits so perfectly there’s only a 1cm perimeter left uncovered. The edge overhang is GENIUS. It not only stops any sliding, but also keeps the front edge of the prep surface as easy to clean as the top. That said I have a few small spot stains that won’t come off, even with a cleaner made especially for stainless steel, but they don’t really bother me. I know it’s clean and can be sanitized which outweighs the need for a pristine look. Highly recommend, especially if you also have that Bror Utility Cart, but maybe watch for a sale or wait for a coupon. That helped me decrease the $99 purchase price which is a bit steep.

I will be attempting to replace or just return this. When I pulled off the protective covering, it has an ugly scrape down one side, plus some small scratches. And I haven't even used it yet. **UPDATE** Product returned when I didn't receive any feedback from the seller on my review.

I was on the fence for a while re: making this purchase. But I'm *so* glad I did. I'd been looking for more workspace, as my kitchen is pretty small. I'd looked at a rolling butcher block (not enough room), a folding butcher block (not enough storage space) and also wood cutting boards. I also wanted something that I could use for kneading bread. Wooden cutting board are a pain to clean. So, I bought this in the largest size. BONUS: I could store in on top of my stove (or fridge), which ended up being such a nice aesthetic addition to my kitchen (see pic). I don't plan on using it to cut things on, so not worried about scratches. When using to knead dough on, I put square of rubber cabinet lining under it so it won't slip towards me (it won't slip forward because of the little lip). You could use a silicone baking liner too. For me, it was one of those things I had in my cart for quite a while but couldn't decide. Now that I've purchased it, I'm glad I considered all options and ended choosing this.
