BERKLEY The Bromance Book Club

I really loved this book! It was a unique story, very refreshing. I loved the concept of a love story about a married couple starting over. It was very sweet and funny. Both Gavin and Thea were very lovable characters, I was rooting for them the entire book! After reading this, I think all men should be required to be apart of a bromance book club LOL! Definitely going to check out book #2

I enjoyed this book immensely! It was my first second chance romance, and boy, it did not disappoint.The premise was refreshingly unique. A male book club, reading romance books, in the hopes of strengthening their relationships??? Sign me up, anytime.The character progression was also so much fun to read. I didn’t expect Gavin to open up as much as he did. He truly fought for his marriage by communicating more effectively and giving Thea the space and time she needed. Thea had a lot to learn also, accepting that a healthy relationship takes work from both sides.Overall, it was a solid read.

Very good, funny book had my loling at times!

My book club chose this book to read as our inaugural book. I bought it and got ready for what I’d heard was a fun read. Thank you Bookstagram & book club! It really was. It was a new take on a romance novel and I really enjoyed it.Gavin is a major league baseball player who is in the prime of his career, married to the love of his life and is completely happy until he finds out that his wife has been faking her orgasms (by having a real one with him) and he moves out to understand what is going on.I told you it was original and that isn’t even half of it. Enter the Bromance Book Club. Teammates, friends and local men have a secret book club where they read regency novels to understand relationships! Fantastic premise and wonderful execution and writing by the author.My favorite quotes:“Modern romance novelists use the patriarchal society of British aristocracy to explore the gender-based limitations placed on women today in both the professional and personal spheres. That shit is feminist as f*ck.”“The backlash against the PSL (pumpkin spice latte) is a perfect example of how toxic masculinity permeates even the most mundane things in life. If masses of women like something, our society automatically begins to mock them. Just like romance novels. Absolutely loved this awesome book about two people starting over in order too save their marriage. I laughed so hard at the Bromance book club meetings. Mack was such a character, I loved him. Going on my list of favs 100%
