We do not recommend using the product in this way.

Q: Would this work for a car or van window?

It comes with a heavy duty tape to help secure it on the window seal and the brackets. I'm not sure if it would work in a car or van though.

Q: How thick is bottom cushion?

It's really not a cushion, but a padding made of sherpa. My cat loves it. Unfortunately I don't have a picture - wish I did.
