Q: If it fits under my top cabinets with an inch to spare would the top door open without having to pull to whole box out?

Sorry, I don't think so. I just took a tape measure to my breadbox - the whole thing from top to bottom measured 12 1/2 inches (the product specs say 12.6 inches). Then I opened the top door just a bit until it was in a straight up and down line with the whole front of the breadbox and measured from the top of the door to the counter and I measured it at 14 1/8 inches, so it looks like you would have to have a little more than 1 and 1/2 inches clearance to open the top door.

Q: Can this bread box be wall-mounted?

There are no mounting brackets on the back but you could screw it into the wall. I would drill holes in the back before I put it together. Might need to insert toggle into the wall for additional support. Really great bread box. Very easy to put together. Live in deep South and had problem with bread molding because of humidity and haven't thrown any out since buying it.

Hi there! It is tightly sealed with a magnetic door latch, so no, a mouse can't get into this. :)
