My favorite brand. Fresh!
This is my favorite brand of beef jerky (blows other brands like Jack Links, which is pretty good already, out of the water), but for some reason it is also the hardest for me to find around here. The only place I seem to be able to find it is at truck stops and other gas stations, so (as you probably would assume) this means it is way overpriced. When I saw it on Amazon for what is actually a very good deal (10 ounce bags from $11-$13 depending on the day) I was pretty excited. I ordered one bag of teriyaki (my favorite) and one bag of peppered. As I am writing this the sweet-n-hot flavor is not available, but I consider it to be equal to the teriyaki. It was already my favorite brand so the only thing left in question was whether it was going to be as fresh as I am used to. Fortunately, the jerky was just the right amount of moist, perfectly tender, and chewy. Every now and then you get a piece that is a little tougher than the others, but I actually don't mind because I just chew on it for a bit longer (enjoy it a bit longer), but for the most part you can count on very good texture. I plan on buying this on a regular basis. If you've never had World Kitchens jerky I would encourage you to give it a try and enjoy

Very good!
This is good stuff! I've had to cut carbs this past year, but I still want to be able to snack, and jerky is a pretty good option. But I also don't think its reasonable to pay $10 for an ounce of boutique jerky, unless maybe its covered in gold dust or something... So I was looking around for good options, and stumbled across this one by chance. It had good reviews---and they're right!! It would be hard to find something wrong with this jerky, because it's pretty traditional and uncontroversial. There's nothing kooky or fancy about it---it's a crowd pleaser!I bought the "brown sugar" version, after checking the grams of sugar, and discovering that it was actually lower than some of the other varieties! If there was one thing I could change, though, it would be to add a little bit more of the brown sugar flavor---I can barely tell it's there! It's really more like a plain jerky--but it doesn't really bother me though. It's still great. Next time I'll try a different flavor and see how it stacks up. But I'll definitely be a repeat customer. Try it! I doubt anyone would be sorry......it's delicious.

Cheaper Jack Link's both NOT Made in USA....
If you like Jack LInk's, this is a cheaper version. One person states they get a headache from eating Jack Links' but this taste very similar to it. Why? Because Jack Link's purchased World Kitchens few years back. Okay, I eat cheap beef jerky and expensive ones too. This and Jack's are what I call cheap beef jerkys. You get what you pay for, these are NOT made in USA rather "PACKAGED", probably bought beef from South America or New Zealand or some other country bring it bulk into USA and then "Packaged in USA". You don't know if it was fed hormones or antibiotics. It's probably not free ranged cows. Now, don't get me wrong, I still buy these to eat. It's no difference from buying hamburgers at a fast food joint, does anybody know where the beef actually comes from or what it was fed. But I do purchased 100% USA made jerkys with no hormones. They are way better but 2-3 times more expensive. So, I supplement with these cheaper ones but don't be fooled if you think you getting 100% raised cows from the good ole USA. I personally do not give too much of these brands to my kids. Think about how people worry about giving beef snacks coming from out of the country to dogs yet not aware of beef jerky fed to people. Just be weary of that these companies are out to make a big profit.

Beware Frankenmeat!!!!
Be aware this is NOT BEEF anymore!! The Formula has been changed!!!! It is now made of mainly pork with beef mixed in. It is now a horrific, pink, fatty, meat collage. You don't want this. RUN. Better a world with no Jerky at all then this. Oh the humanity.old formula review:It is pretty good for cheap Jerky. I guess they also sell this at Walmart. Mostly tender pieces, not mushy and not too gristly, with some ruggeder bits. Pretty good flavor. My cat went crazy for this stuff. We tried jack links once it was garbage and my dogs would not even eat it. Literally the dogs spit it out! A while back there was a brand called pemican that was our go to favorite but I can't find it any more this one is fairly close to that. I would get this kind again and again, and the pricing is fair

They Doubled The PRICE! No Longer A GOOD BUY!
The flavor isn't bad and the amount you get for the price is impressive, but I had a bad experience with what I ordered. There is sand or something likewise gritty in the product. I have experienced this with two separate bags(different flavors as well).(Update)I bought a third bag because it's so cheap and I want it to be good. haha This time there was no sand but for two pieces had the grit. I have no idea how so much got in the previous bags. It isn't the most flavourful jerky, but it is quality meat at a very good price. If I was a survivalist hoarder, I'd buy it by the barrel.(Second Update)They doubled the price. This jerky is in no way worth$20 for a 10oz bag.

Natural flavor is hard and thin.
I buy this at my local Vons grocery store, so went to Amazon to see if they carried it. I buy the original/non flavored type. Normally it is a soft chewy meaty square. Both of the "natural" flavors I bought here are hard thin jerky. Typical dried out leather strips you get with most other brands of jerky. I'm so disappointed that it is NOT the same as the identical packages I buy in a store.Photo shows a thick, soft chewy square from a store bought bag next the darker thin hard piece from the Amazon item. 😕

Delicious source of protein when you want to change it up!
I wanted a snack I could eat in my vehicle on the way home from work as a protein portion and remembered beef jerky from days gone by. Bought some at the grocery store (another brand) and it was OK, but thought I'd have a look on amazon. All the reviews encouraged me to try World Kitchens and I'm so glad I did! I ordered both the brown sugar and the pepper varieties and each was excellent: moist and chewy and full of flavor. I did notice that the package instructed that you refrigerate its contents if unopened for more than three days, and that has worked well for me. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
