One of the best lenses in my kit bag and great value for money
This is my first sigma lens and it has not disappointed.I bought it primary for shooting landscapes and perhaps astrophotography (if I ever get a clear night!). I use it with a Canon 5D mkiii and you can see some of the results attached. I've also used it with my 700D and works great as a wider portrait lens on a cropped body.PROS- Sharp as anything- Visually very pleasing and feels well built- Haven't used it much but I do like the carry case that it comes with.CONS- A bit heavy but when using a tripod this isn't really an issue.- No weather sealing :(I've also used the 35mm Art which is also a great lens and will definitely consider buying more sigma lenses in the future as they are amazing value for money.

Excellent quality wide angle prime
Bought it and sold it - but could have been a keeper really, except that I already had two lenses that do a decent job at 24mm.A slightly odd focal length for such a fast lens to be honest. Way too wide for most everyday shooting/portraits/subjects but not wide enough for something like astro. But it is super sharp and produces wonderful image quality. I used it mostly for landscapes and would have to work the composition properly using my feet more. I could have come to use this as my standard wide angle landscape lens but ultimately decided that the flexibility of something like a 16-35 outweighed the image quality performance of this one.I have many sigma art lenses and they’ve all been excellent so far. I’ve not had focussing issues on my canon 5d mk4

A great lens
I ordered this lens for event videography & photography as it has a 1.4 aperture and is great in low light.I also own the sigma 18-35 1.8.This prime lens does not seem to let in more light than the 18-35 1.8 and is not appreciably sharper which I expected as it’s a prime lens. It also weighs about the same as the 18-35. (They are both heavy)I couldn’t justify paying £600 for a lens that did not perform head and shoulders above the 18-35 zoom so I sent it back.Don’t get me wrong this is a great lens but if you already have the 18-35 i’d skip this one and get another focal length. This lens gives great colours and sharpness and I’d highly recommend it.

Great lens
Been a couple of months now and although I've not had much chance to use this lens for what I intended - Astro and landscapes it's been great for a few nightshoots and museum visits.I've given it 5 stars for VFM as I was looking at the Canon options originally which came in a lot higher priced. This lens has delivered so far and I'm really looking forward to a some clear nights to test out the performance there. I think wherever I visit this lens will be in my bag from now on.

Better than L series lenses.
I purchased this after reading the reviews and I was not let down. The pictures I have taken have been crisp and without flaw. there is more that enough technical detail in the reviews already that I can confirm to be correct. I have 2 canon L series lenses I have been using regularly for landscapes and long exposures that I rarely put in my bag since I purchased this lens. Simply excellent value for money.
