Just switched to this dog food after using Precise Foundation for years. He LOVED that food but either my dog developed an allergy to something in there or it was a bad batch due to a bout with suspected pancreatitis and severe weight loss. Switched to this food and IMMEDIATELY all symptoms disappeared. He loves this food, and it has firmed up his stools nicely and no more regurgitating. All natural, gluten free and basically grain free except the millet. This has a ratio (according my calculations from bag analysis/moisture/ash) of about 34% carbs, 33 and 33% protein/fat. All ratios of ingredients are formulated perfectly. It's small kibble but my dog, at 75lbs, has NO problem with it!BONUS: the customer service is outstanding. Their chemist/nutritionist will get on the phone and talk to you too! I spent 30 minutes asking him all kinds of dog food questions.No recalls ever and USA made with no China crap!Look, we all know that there is no perfect dog food because all dogs react differently to different foods. This is perfect for ME, but may not be for you. All I am saying is if you are looking for a new food, try this.Great deals elsewhere online so LOOK AROUND!UPDATE 6/27/15---unfortunately, I had to stop giving this great food to my dog due to the continuance of pancreatitis even though we thought he was healed. Turns out he his digestive system is not handling ANY food long term. He is now on prescription food and doing great. I will however not think twice about going back on THIS food, once he is able, if ever.

We adopted a rescue dog on this food. Her stools are amazingly foul smelling, and she intermittently vomits. We tried the Rabbit brand on our dog who had been on a different food, and her stools became foul smelling as well. On the pork food, poor Jackie's stools are soft and absolutely eye-wateringly, nearly vomit inducing foul. Cannot recommend due to this effect.

My 4 year old chihuahua/doxie pup had developed a SERIOUS food allergy that took a long time to pinpoint. She was in and out of the vet's office over the period of three months. A million shots, pills, topical creams, and shampoos later, I decided to take matters into my own hands and researched food options. I learned that dogs can actually develop an allergy to foods they have been on forever- which her vet didn't seem to think was the issue. She was previously on Hill Science Diet. This brand came highly recommended from a friend, so I gave it a go. It got to a point to where my dog was nearly lifeless...bony as can be, wouldn't move, wouldn't eat or drink, never excited anymore, so I ordered this and got it two days later. As soon as she had her first meal, she got more pep in her step. Fast forward a few weeks later and she nearly consumed the largest bag (she's 10llbs!). She started gaining weight again, stopped digging at what was left of her skin (she was hairless at this point from digging and covered head to toe in bloody, oozy cuts and scabs), started getting excited again when daddy came home, etc. We will NEVER go back to another brand. This discovery and this healthy brand literally saved our fur-child's life. Thank you for such a great product!

The bag on the listing is the old version... I was shipped the new formula (see photo). The kibble size is really small which is great for my chihuahua. I chose this particular food because it was one of around 100 specific brands/formulas that was highly recommended by a group of reviewers who looked at lots of different factors and weeded out the rest. A Google search for 'best dog food' will yield this article. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that the zipper on the bag failed after a couple of weeks. Not even worth knocking off a star... I'm here for the food itself.

Unfortunately my picky dogs don't like it but I know it is good for them so will keep trying.
