You just paid for the name
I purchased a fretwrap earlier that is less than half the price of the Gruv Gear fretwrap and i was surprised that materials and quality are almost the same. You paid for the name. That’s it. Theres nothing special about it. It looks good when its in your guitar though.

Handy tool for making your playing sound crisp
Ok I admit I wasn’t sure the hype. “You can use a hair tie!” Well, not quite. The advantage of the fret wrap is being able to mute the open strings. I watched Matt Heafey from Trivium’s video and tried that method. It makes soloing sound a little tighter when you pull the fret wrap 5 frets lower than where you’re playing.By no means is this a way to allow you to play sloppy - you still have to work on your hand coordination and patterns. We’ll see how long the durability lasts.

To buy extra large for five and six string bass or bigger.
Verry good great for price and effectiveness.
