Hand painted money box in a wooden treasure chest shape. A whimsical pirate ship adorns the front along with various swords and map and crab! Of course no treasure chest is complete without some booty (painted) in the bottom:) When I first started painting the boxes several years ago I noticed that everyone who picked it up looked inside. How disappointing I thought that there is nothing in there for them to see. So now no box leaves my studio without a quote inside. This box measures 6 ¼ " wide x 4 ¼ " deep 4 ½ " high and the quote inside reads ' Explore your world' It has a brass fastener Everything in my store is hand painted by myself in my south shore Massachusetts studio.
