New Compatible with Volvo Penta OMC Cobra U-Joint Bellow Kit 987467,384148, 22197130 SX DP-S DP-SM

I inspect gimble and replace bellows every other season. Have always used OEM parts previously. For half the price, I figured I'd try an aftermarket bellows once.This bellows fit perfect and installed just fine like OEM. However, I found this split wide open after I heard noise from gimble bearing area. Very large failure point next to clamp on transom mount and many splits/cracks along the whole length of bellows. Sometimes the OEM volvo bellows have small cracks on the exterior after 2 seasons, but never this bad. Whatever compound rubber this is made of, it's not as good as OEM.Less than 2 seasons and 80hrs on this part and now I'm replacing gimble bearing and possibly driveshaft as well due to water intrusion. NOT WORTH SAVING $25 TO BUY THIS AFTERMARKET PART......Back to OEM Volvo parts for me.

found rust on u-joints during spring outdrive maintenance and after close inspection found a cut in bellow where mechanic tried to seat it with a screw driver. Went in easily with simple tools and working perfectly on my 2000 Volvo Penta SX outdrive

Perfect for for Volvo penta sx-m. The rubber is very soft, yet durable for years of leak free use. My old bellow was cracked and hard. After feeling this new one, I'm amazed the old one lasted as long as it had! This is a quality item and a perfect duplicate of my factory installed version.

Misleading title. Its actually an exhaust bellow, not a u-joint bellow as the title would have you believe.EDIT!I failed to see if it really was the right product. It was! And it worked great! I had thought it was an exhaust bellows because it had a sticker stuck to the bag saying it was. I should've confirmed it was the wrong product before giving a negative review. Works great and dandy.
