Stopped working... oops
Suddenly, after sitting unused for a while, they no longer take a charge or function properly. Turns out to be a waste of money. Live and learn I suppose....Update: So before throwing them away I decided to look closer at them and try to charge them again. I found the very tiny volume switch and turned it up and to my amazement they worked just fine. Somehow the volume in one ear dropped (could even have been my hearing) and a simple adjustment solved the problem. I now feel terrible about submitting a harsh review and hope this will help to assist others and mitigate the poor review I had submitted previously.

Did not fit
If you have trouble with your hands or small ear canals you will prob have trouble with these. I got these for my mother and they were very difficult to get in her ears. Plus they make a terrible noise if they are not inserted correctly. The volume was difficult to figure out as well but without being able to even put them in her ears meant they were returned within the week.

Problematic
Basically, a great idea for dirt cheap, but there are a few foibles: The volume control is tiny and requires a jeweler's screwdriver to adjust; likely I'd set it once and never touch it again. There is no on/off switch; take them out of the charger and they're on and the battery is draining, whether they're in your ears or not. Somebody else commented that one of the units stopped charging, failing to keep a connection while in the charger. Mine did that on the first day. Returned them for a replacement. Fingers crossed ...

Wanted to try before buying more expensive hearing aids.
I purchased these to see how much hearing aids would help me. I was blown away at how good they are. They are great hearing devices. I purchase both the right and left hearing aid. The Left worked and fit great. The Right worked great but I have a skin tag that hangs down on the right ear so the hearing aid rubbed it raw and made a sore. Not the fault of the hearing aid or manufacturing. I would still be using these if not for the physical problem with the right ear. I purchased another pair from Amazon that has a small wire that goes in my ear.My husband is using this pair that I could not wear. They are great for him too.The volume control in extremely tiny. Would be nice if the company would include a small tool for adjusting the volume. Fortunately my husband has every size screwdriver made so we had one that fit the volume control. That is the only improvement I would recommend!

Not worth it, would look at other options.
The Good: Not crazy expensive, small and fit inside ear, secureThe Bad: Volume control goes from off to super loud. Lots of loud feedback even on low volume setting while inserting into ear. Continues to have feedback until perfect position in ear is achieved. More feedback depending on how you turn your head. Volume control knob is not easy to use even with supplied screwdriver.

Works as advertised
Bought it for TV watching. Was able to turn down tv volume 5 points, so amplification is great. Speech is pretty clear too.Volume is hard to adjust because of shallow groove in adjustment screw making it hard for the screwdriver to get a good 'grip' on the screw; however it is understandable because of the size of the device. Volume up/down direction would be nice on the picture in the manual.Good comfort. I don't wear it (using in left ear only) all the time because sounds of passing traffic, running refrigerator, creaking floor board, etc. are amplified a little more than I need.I got the amplifier at a reasonable price and it's good for what I wanted it for.

These suck!
These really suck. Sound is horrible. Tinty. Bad. Muffled. And the box doesn't charge the units unplugged like most others do. And the design is so bad the ear parts do not seat well in the box and it's really tough to charge them AND they turn on automatically when they are not seated well and it drains them. They suck!!!!!!!!! and they look stupid hanging out of your ears. too big. I hate everything about them.

False advertising
This unit is advertised as a voice enhancement, etc. but is nothing of the kind. A simple audio amplifier with high gain that is nearly impossible to stop from whistling. Volume control is away too coarse and therefore tends to be no sound or whistle. Not worth the money!

fits well
My regulars hearing aids died. I bought these until I can get a hearing test and new hearing ads. They are ok but not hearing aids quality. one improvement they could make is to have volume control. They are good for what I need now
