Very comfortable and fits portable potty seat just fine

I bought this seat to replace the seat that came with a new commode which was small, thin, and uncomfortable. It fits beautifully, is well made and padded for its intended use and as a chair! The removable opening fits snugly in place preventing odors yet is easy to remove when the time comes. It’s easy to clean with few seams to trap debris or dirt.The only downside to this product are the clips that secure the seat to the commode could be longer- they will come off the bar if the patient leans forward. The seat will come up in the back and may be unsettling though the seat stays in place.Over all I’d highly recommend this for anyone of any adult age who needs to use a commode, do yourself a favor and ditch the seat it comes with and enjoy a little comfort!

Purchased this for my elderly mother's handicap toilet. Searched all over and there is nothing like this. If you need a softer seat for your loved one that may need to sit longer, while you can purchase cushioned regular toilet seats, there was no solution for a handicapped commode. To get a better cushioned seat you have to buy and entire bed side commode. Other options are unsanitary cushions you place on top of the handicap seat, are not safe, and don't fasten well and you can't wipe off like you would a regular toilet seat. This purchased item has the hooks on the back just like the bed side commode seat and snap right in place. While it is not overly plush it is 10 times softer than a regular commode seat, and it appears to be strong and very well made. You can use it as the toilet seat or keep the middle piece in when you need as a regular chair seat. I rarely write reviews but am so happy with this purchase and would think others are struggling with finding this product as I did. My poor 94 year old mom will be so much more comfortable. Additionally it came right on time. I could not be happier. I thought it was pricey when I bought it but worth every penny! Highly recommend!

Both times ordered the product arrived damaged, not from shipping but apparently from poor storage and handling. Seems they are stacked on top of each other and the mounting brackets on the bottom dig into the top of the cushion below. This may cause just a depression or as in our case punctures in the vinyl which will only worsen.We would have kept this item if not for this but it does have another annoying flaw. The brackets that attach it to the chair are a little too small. It works fine with the seat down but if you try to put the seat up to empty the bucket, the seat comes off completely and falls on the floor.

I had purchased a commode and the seat that came with it was shaped funny and not very wide for the hole. This one works perfect!

I did like this seat at first. It was nice and comfortable.Then one of the clamps on the back cracked off and then the plastic on the seat started ripping!

This is great, high quality; attaches to the commode. A lot more support than the regular seat. Recommend for larger people.

We use the commode chair in the shower as a shower chair, and another as the toilet elsewhere. The first seat replacement was just about right: comfortable enough padding, well made, easy to clean, snaps on perfectly, even accommodates the original seat back.The second one looked the same but wasn't comfortable, especially under the thighs near the front. So we will return it and try another, so hopefully we will have a comfortable seat on both chairs. (Note that the term comfortable is a relative description, it's better than the original seat but just "less uncomfortable" when sitting for extended periods of time.)

most commode chairs unless you spend 3Grand have terrible seats. I just got this one and placed on top of my current seat it's way more comfortable . the mounting brackets are a bit light weight fortunately i could just sit it on top of my current seat. the screws pull out on the brackets making it useless as a seat mounted to the chair frame. I highly recommend this seat if your commode can take it.
