Tigran Petrosian His Life and Games Paperback – October 13, 2009

Excelente compra, uno de los mejores libros del maestro Petrosian, en muy buen estado, realmente estaba nuevo en inmejorables condiciones.

Me gusta en versión papel para escribir otras fuentes de las partidas en él!.

Réedition d'une version anglaise antérieure malheureusement en notation descriptive. Les parties sont retranscrites sous forme brute en algébrique en fin de livre mais ça n'apporte pas grand chose.Sinon c'est une biographie de Petrosian s'arrêtant en 74. Super livre qui permet d'apprendre beaucoup de choses sur la vie de l'homme, éclairant sur certains aspects de son caractère et son jeu. Il met aussi en évidence qu'il avait aussi des qualités tactiques au moins aussi impressionnantes que Tal et autres mais qu'il les mettait moins en avant de par son style.Pour autant il était aussi capable de jouer des parties agressives et sa réputation de joueur annulant est très injuste. Je recommande vivement ce livre si on passe outre la notation descriptive.

If you like Petrosian, you'll enjoy this book for the narrative content. It is, however, fairly difficult to use as a study tool. The most recent edition of the book thankfully does contain algebraic notation for all the games presented, but it is tacked on to the back of the book, so if you want to read the game commentary while playing through his games, you have to continually flip back and forth. It would have been nice if the new edition had incorporated the algebraic notation directly into the text, simply replacing the old descriptive notation entirely and transferring the commentary.

On apprend beaucoup sur l'histoire de PETROSIAN depuis son enfance jusqu'à sa carrière échiquéenne aux plus hauts sommets ainsi que sur son caractère, sa vision de la vie et bien sûr son style fondé en grande partie sur le "système" de NIMZOWITSCH.Un seul petit défaut : les parties en notation descriptive.Livre très recommandable.
