These gloves are HUGE. They are big on my male partner, for me, they are very baggy with a lot of extra space in the fingers. They still function for what they are intended - picking up hot stuff while camping or grilling, but would have loved a smaller size option.

Let me tell you a quick story - once upon a time, I decided that my old, worn oven mitts just weren't doing the trick. I started looking into alternatives. First I tried silicone mitts ..at first, I felt like it was an improvement, but I didn't like the way that they felt on my hands, and I still didn't think they were heat-proof enough. These oven mitts are hands-down my favorite. They not only protect my hands from heat, but they're comfortable too...back to my story though - so I was happily using these for all of my cooking and baking. I was blown away with how heat resistant they are. I kept telling my fiance about it. It sounds like something small, but I bake a lot, and when I do, I tend to move about very quickly in the kitchen, so I can be clumsy. I've had gloves that basically slid off of my hand when reaching into the oven and others that were not nearly heat-proof enough and my hands were burned through the mitts. With these, I can hold onto a cookie sheet or casserole dish for just about as long as I want without worrying that I'm going to burn myself. It's incredible.Anyway, the other day I was baking muffins, and I couldn't find my gloves anywhere. Where did I find them? My fiance was outside starting a fire (with a fire starter because he's going through this Naked & Afraid survival / outdoorsy phase) and he was using my mitts to roast hot dogs! I was aggravated at first but then I found myself just feeling even more impressed. He even handled some of the soot (while he was making the fire) wearing these gloves and did not feel a thing. It protected his arm from the flames. Pretty impressive! He was raving about them after that too.Except he got soot all over my gloves, so I will have to figure out how to go about washing them now! Maybe I'll just let him and keep them and order myself another pair (or 2 or 3).I received this product at a discounted rate. My opinions and reviews are unbiased and honest.

UPDATE:These don't really work. My partner tried to use them for removing a tray from a toaster oven (<300 degrees) and couldn't handle it. There was no steam or water involved.These gloves are somewhat large. If you have small hands they are very bulky. I have large hands and they are still too big. There are loose threads inside. Neither of these is really a problem for using them.I received a discount in exchange for this review. I wouldn't pay full price for them.

I got these for my grandma to put wood in her only heat source-a crazy wood burning stove that seems like a cremation furnace. I am 43 years old so you can imagine how old she is (mid 80's) and her putting wood in that stove scares me to death. She lives out in the country and that is her only heat source is that huge, hot, scary wood stove. It is so hot it's unreal. This gives me some peace of mind if she will use these. I put them on and they are better than anything I have seen or that she has. These will protect her from heat and protect her hands from splinters too. And I wish she would get central heat because I worry about her all winter. At least these will help and protect my hands when I am out there. I do not like that stove at all if you are wondering. My dad and uncle built it and it works great but it is scary now that my grandma lives there alone since my granpa died.Anyway I received a discount on these to test and review them and yes they are nice. I hope this has been helpful for you. They would DEFINITELY be fine for grilling/baking if I trust them to protect grandma from the creamation furnace she calls a heater. They are pretty big it would be nice if they had a smaller size but they are fine.

These gloves are great. I do a lot of grilling and being able to use each finger to pick sauce pans/cooking stones up is a big help. These gloves work great and I would recommend these to anyone for oven/grill use.I received this item at a reduced cost in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion.
