High Quality, Useful Kit
Model: Bessey Tools WS-3-2K 90 Degree Angle ClampThis corner clamp holds two work pieces at right angles for fastening[1].The ability to attach this clamp to a bench using the included adapters is what really makes this clamp work well for me. At present this version costs about the same as a model without the adapters - seriously consider purchasing this one because the adapters greatly enhance the usability of this tool. While it’s not perfect, I like this clamp a lot. As with most other Bessey clamps I own - I expect it to last decades. If you can live with the compromises of this design[2], I heartily recommend it.The Good:- very high build quality, accurate true jaws.- heavy duty, smooth operating screw mechanism- the jaws hold pieces of identical thickness (of course) and of different thickness- quick and easy to operate- can be fastened to bench using the (2) included adapter screws. The Bad:- both pieces are clamped simultaneously, which means you need a third hand to get everything tight. This isn’t too much of a problem as long as the clamp is fastened to a bench (using the two included adapter screws).Notes:[1] Perhaps it’s more accurate to say it holds them perpendicular to each other because they are at right angles in two dimensions. The pieces may be fastened using pretty much any method you choose including: glue, screws, dowels, staples or nails.[2] Another design of corner clamp uses two screws - one for each workpiece. I find that design is slower to operate, but easier as two hands are sufficient to position each piece separately. You may wish to consider this design difference if you are intending to own just one style of corner clamp.

Meh-and no free returns
Not sure why this gets such high marks-Pros- it is heavy duty, does make a 90° angleCons- the hold down clamps are a great idea, however my workbench is too thick to use them on, so useless for me. Since I can't clamp the whole thing down, it is very hard to get the pieces lined up tightly since both sides tighten at once. Also, the base is very thick, almost 1 1/4" which makes it hard to put a caul or support block on the other ends to whole the pieces parallel, without making a special scrap for it- a base the depth of 3/4" plywood or even the width of a 2x4 would have been nice.Last- there are NOT free returns with this vendor, so if you order them you will probably just keep them since sending back such heavy items is expensive.

Great corner clamp system for unwieldy pieces
What a great find!! I have been swearing at everyone that walks by and my poor dog as I try to keep large pieces of sheet good straight while getting the pocket hole screws in. I decided I would hop down (100 miles one way) to my local woodworking shop (the big chain one) and spend over a hundred bucks for four of their corner clamps. They had some serious limitations that these Bessey clamps do not.Love the plastic inserts and the fact that the clamps self-adjust to differences in material thickness, even if one is 1/4" and one is 1". Plus the small clamps to hold the corner clamp down while you use it. Cleverly designed, it holds exceptionally well while still allowing access to the areas you'll be throwing your pocket (or other) holes into. And for less than 75% of what the other guys wanted for a much less flexible setup.

Better than Irwin
I bought this and the Irwin version at the same time, about the same price. Don’t know why the Irwin one suddenly skyrocketed because it’s garbage and broke almost immediately. This one is still holding up.The only thing I don’t like which seems to be the nature of this type of clamp as a whole is that it doesn’t really bring the boards together. You essentially need a separate clamp to get them tight and then this one to hold them square. For that purpose it does work well though.

Good product but clamp base is difficult to use one handed.
The way the clamp works there is nothing under jack screw to support the pieces being clamped. As a result the pieces fall out before they can be clamped. To acieve the holding the wood and turning the jack screw I had to screw pieces of wood to my work bench to support the pieces while I tightened the clamp. There was no problem if I was using 2x4 or other large sized boards. I have other clamps for that size and bought this for picture frames and small trim.Overall a good piece to add to my shop. If it was purchased by a less knowledgeable worker the frustration could surpass the usefulness of this clap.

It seems like you get about 75% of the German clamp for ...
Have used Bessey clamps for years. These clamps are made in China, not Germany (or as some of my older WS 3s say "West Germany"). The handle is plastic instead of wood, there is no plastic hanger at the top of the screw to hang the clamp off pegboard, and the jaws do not fit as parallel as the German made clamps I compared them to. In short, they are not as well-made. It seems like you get about 75% of the German clamp for half the price. I guess that's a bargain, but I'll be using my German clamps first before I trot these out. I probably wouldn't buy them again.

The original 90 degree clamp I have works just fine. My thinking is that I can cut the ...
This is the 2nd one that I have bought from Amaxon.com. I have not had a chance to use this 2nd one (along with & at the same time with the 1st clamp). The original 90 degree clamp I have works just fine. My thinking is that I can cut the glue up wait to dry time in 1/2 using 2 clamps. I am awaiting the next picture/mirror frame building or repairing project.

Nice square clamp.
These are very good clamps. They are simple and quick to apply. They aide in alignment. You get a very close to square result with no fuss. A little finagling and it'll be perfect if that's the result that is needed.

Shop around for a good price.
It does what it's supposed to do just fine. The small clamps to attach to a bench top are OK but don't scream Bessey quality. The threads are very fine and take an age to adjust. Useful, at a price, so shop around and wait for an offer.

Made in China and the quality shows - poor paintwork peeling away
Somewhat disappointed to see that Bessey are now manufacturing in China and it shows. The finish is poor with scuff marks on the surface and paint chipped. See image. I also found that the clamping action is not smooth and solid. Returned for a swap out.

Quality and ease of use
Could do with a larger platform to support the material to be cut.

Fantastic tool for gluing up frames and furniture
This is a really good device if you're making furniture of picture frames. The design allows you to glue/screw up two pieces of wood at a clean 90 degree angle. Because of the unique its design, the device is able to cleanly clamp thicknesses of wood that may actually be different dimensions (i.e. a 3/4" plywood to a 1/2" plywood). It even comes with its own set of clamps that allow you to clamp the 90 degree angle clamp to your work surface. Now, if the tool isn't good enough to wet your appetite, the price on Amazon is incredible. This device sells for about $10 less on Amazon than any of the big box hardware stores.
