This product does exactly what it’s supposed to do - support the middle of 2 piece grates.Background- I have the Q200 and it had the 1 piece grate. The 1 piece grate is difficult to fit in a sink to clean. I ordered a 2 piece grate and it fit fine. However, the first time I went to flip a burger, the middle of the grate collapsed into the grill body. I discovered that it would need some type of support in the middle. I was going to make a support piece,but thought I’d look on the web first. That’s where I discovered this product. I ordered it and installed it. It works fine and is made of quality stainless steel. Note: if you are buying a 2 piece grate, check to see if it comes with the support. The one I got was lower priced and I didn’t even think of looking to see if it came with the support.

These supports really stabilize the grill grates when cooking.Originally when we ordered the grates, we thought these would be included since they're shown in the owners manual. But they were easy to order and only $7, so all's well that ends well.I can't imagine ever trying to clean these supports, but if I ever tried, it doesn't look easy.

If your weber Q comes with a 1 PC grate. You need this to use a 2 PC grate. Worked flawlessly. Super simple design, and easier install. 👍 I purchased this and a new stainless 2 PC grate for my grill. It's like new again.

This did not at first look like it would work so well. I worried about them falling off but once the grate is in place they can't fall off. The hold the grates very firmly.

The clips hold the two parts of my grill together- now I don’t have to worry about the grill shifting on me as I cook.
