Bright little light.
Little smaller than I expected. Battery lasts about two hours at full brightness. Light and connector are waterproof....battery and battery pouch are not. Little annoying that the battery level indicator LED's do not turn off with the light. LED's are a very bright green that can be distracting when there's no other light around, and it's a constant low-level drain when the light is not in use.

OK, headlamp, but no
The brightness and battery life on this headset is good. But, I wouldn't get them again. Stick with headlamps that use USB micro A or better yet, USB C for charging. You don't need another charging cable to lose, which immediately, makes your headlamp useless.

5 Stars for Light BUT 1 Star for Battery
A little over a year ago I bought 2 of these lights, a few months apart. The battery pack in the first one holds up for a couple of hours, but my 2nd one recently dropped to a half-hour or so. I unwrapped the battery pack and found 2 18650's are wired (in series) and the other 2 are dummies. I suspect these are all used batteries out of old laptops and such, and there's a good pile, and a bad pile. Each battery pack we get has 2 good ones, and 2 bad ones that aren't hooked up. You're so pleased that you have got a "4 18650 battery pack"; yes, you did, although 2 aren't good and not hooked up . . . a mere technicality :)Each 18650 in mine are rated 1300mAh. Since they're in series, I believe you still only get 1300mAh, so (just like the lumen rating), their battery rating might be a slight (!!) exaggeration. These batteries are a nominal 3.7v, but 4.2v when fully charged (thus, the 8.4v claim). As soon as they are loaded, the voltage immediately drops significantly.I checked my good battery pack and it's the same way, except that one of the dummies has some leakage. I wrapped it up again since this is a "good" pack. For the other one I cut off the connector and attached it to an old 4000mAh 6v NiMH battery (for a Night Rider Trail Rat light) and tried it last night. The green light blinks because of the low voltage, but so far I've run it about 3 hours on high and the battery still is putting out 6v, and not dropping. Amazing what a decent battery pack can do!

Lasted longer than I anticipated.
I've owned this set for a little bit now. I've done 3hour rides with it with no problems. I finally put did a much longer ride with it.When I ride at night, I keep the brightness on the lowest settings. When it is dark, I go slower, therefore I don't need as much light out in front of me. So, keep the idea of how it perform on lowest settings in your mind for this review. I seriously had this last 6 hours, and it was still going when I decided to change it to a different battery pack. Much more than my expectations. I assumed 3, maybe 4 hours tops. I got 6 hours. It didn't flicker over bumps. It just worked, and worked well. The light itself does want to move forward or backward, but this due to my carbon bars and the rubber band not gripping enough. Moving the light and rubber band to where tape covers the bars eliminates this problem. The Velcro type strap keeps the battery in place when I mount it to my top tube. It also fits nicely in my top tube bag.I don't give many 5 star reviews. I will for this one. I'm happy with it.

More like barely 500 lumens lol
Bought two. Most definitely not 5000 lumens lol. I kinda figured as much though, considering how low the price is on these. I believe the seller meant to put "500 lumen" and even that's stretching it. Seem decently constructed. Button feels good and solid with a satisfying "click". Cords seem strong. Really lacking on the chargers. Chargers always show red (even though bars are full when you plug batt pack into light) , except for when you don't plug the chargers into the wall but, you plug the battery packs in... then the LED on the charger lights up green LOL...??? Major circuitry issue there. Glass lenses on both lights are very dirty/dusty inside. Will have to take apart and clean. Optics aren't half bad. Good hot spot, decent spill and you can't tell that it's two LEDs; both beams come to center nicely. Good thing I'm ditching the batt packs and re-purposing these ^.^ Oh and different brand name was on the lights than shows up on here lol.

Good light for spread. Not intensity
I'm a mountain biker and got this light for its wider spread than other options. Lumens = measurement of lights spread and relative brightness. While riding I can max a ~30 ft visible range on the light, but it is WEAKER THAN OTHER LIGHTS as far as the beams strength goes, but still pretty bright. HOLDS STRONG CHARGE. I've only charged it 1-2 times and have used it off and on for a few weeks! Just MAKE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY from the light when done to max battery life.

The battery life is too short.
I have been buying LED head lights for several years now. The lights are bright and I need them since a few times a week I ride before the sun is up.The LED lights are plenty bright enough - I only need to use the medium power to get plenty of light to ride at night and be able to see where I am going - and others can see me.The power of the batteries is now what it used to be. My first LED light had enough power to last me for 3 rides (1 hr, 20 minutes each) without recharging. The batter that came with this battery would not last for two rides and now after a couple of months, I have to keep the power on low so that it will last for a single ride. When I buy my next light, I will be looking for the LED light that has a long-lasting battery - verified by the reviewers. They never seem to sell new batteries, you have to buy the who assembly, light and battery. They need to put more work into having a longer-lasting battery.

Good Light
I'm on my second one. The battery finally ran out and would not charge anymore, but it lasted 3 years, so I thought that I got my money out of it.

see and be seen, authoritative.
very bright, blinding to motor vehicle operators. installation equipment makes the light easy to mount/move. easily adjustable during riding. make sure to charge the battery before use regardless the life indicator level.
