Not quick release at all.
I don't like the asymmetrical way the loops attach to the buckle on these tactical belts but that doesn't take away from the quality and workmanship of this belt. This buckle has a magnet assist to the clasp that works great when you want to put the belt on. It makes a solid clack and the belt is latched. Taking the belt off requires two hands to push the ends of the buckle together and then push away from the magnet. It becomes second nature once you've done it a few times. I suppose that's a quick release but I prefer a one-handed operation to release my belt if needed. You also will struggle to release this buckle if it is under load. The belt material is great. It's strong enough that I looped it over a pullup bar and put my entire weight on the belt with no issue. The closed clasp is metal and strong and the adjustable side of the belt holds the thick web material without slipping.I did find that if you aren't paying attention you can slap the buckle together with the buckle offset and only the magnet holding things up. The belt will hold this way until you go to put some weight on it and then the buckle slips open.

Nice Quality and Functionality
Very nice quality.Buckle works great.Needs to be a 1/4” narrower to fit through belt loopsAlso the length of the extra slack is way long for 34” waist.

Excellent Quality!
This belt is perfect. It is durable, tough, and fits perfectly to size. The latch is strong, easy to adjust, stays tight but releases easily when needed. Holds a lot of weight. Great for molle pack, camping pack, or tactical rig. Works great. No negatives. Excellent quality. I have several of these belts, and this one is the best.

Buckles Too Large
The belt was great except for the fact that the buckle clasps would not fit through the belt loops. So I had to return the belts.

Junk.
Do not drop. This was a great belt for 3 days. I dropped it one morning the magnets shot out and I never saw them again . With out the little magnets it's useless. Buyer beware.

SUPER sturdy belt, easy to take off, but note that it is NOT for use as a regular belt
This belt is great - as long as you're NOT trying to use it as a regular belt. It's NOT a regular belt, so I'm not reviewing it as such, but still need to make a note of that since people will miss it in the name/description. What makes it different? It's meant to be worn OUTSIDE of belt loops, to hold gear, pouches, holsters, etc. - ie you wear a regular belt to keep your pants up (or for looks) - or you don't - and this is worn in ADDITION to that, to hold your gear. When used as a gear belt, it's sturdy, stays in place (assuming you adjusted it to the correct size), and it's easy to put on and off with a combo magnetic and "hooking" latch. The color is true, deep black, and spills have come off of it easily with water and a rag. The metal has held up well so far (worn by a teenager who wants to be a cop one day).

Fits Well But Annoyances
This belt has a ratchet closure meaning it’s finely sized compared to the usual prong in hole belt closure. This particular belt has a lever release rather than the easier to operate buckle lift but still is after you get used to it, it’s simple to operate even if, IMO inferior to operate vs the buckle lift release. There’s a definite downside to this belt’s huge size range and that’s those with smaller waists end up with long bitter ends after ratcheting to fit. I take a 36 belt size but really measure a 34-35 waist size so here end up with a long bitter end. This end is below the beltline of the fastened end meaning to cinch the belt tightly I need to suck my gut in, pull out the bitter end, pull, tuck the bitter end in and then let my breath out again. It’s not difficult but definitely unpleasant to always have to do.In addition, the keeper floats so I need to put in a good deal of effort to thread the bitter end through the keeper all under the fastened belt component. To add to the annoyance factor, the keeper falls off when removing the belt from the pants loop. As a final issue, cinching the belt tight is awkward while sucking in my gut but doable and second nature after a few rehearsals. All these downsides are initially annoying but fade into habit after a few days’ wear so I’m not seriously downgrading the belts due to them. While good, the one size fits all isn’t a great idea but it does mean you will get a good fit unless you are tiny or huge. A buckle release with a top-sided bitter end would score these at an easy five stars but as things are, four.Note: this review's wording is identical to another similar belt under review at this time since the belts are identical if from different vendors.

Good belt - really wide buckle.
I love this belt. My only frown is that the buckle is heavy (which is good) and thick - (not so good) as in hard to get thorough the belt loops in a pair of pants. Barely fits into jeans. It could fit through a regular pair of dress pants. Next gen should havd a slimmer frame.
