Only one issue with these lids so far, but a BIG one to me.
These appear to be sturdy and of good quality, HOWEVER, I specifically ordered these lids to get the largest one (listed as 12") for my 12" frying pan. Imagine my surprise when I was in the middle of cooking, needed to cover the pay and reached for the lid, only to discover that it is slightly too small so it fell into the pan rather than covering it. BIG disappointment for me. If you don't need that big lid, these are fine and you'll be happy.

> DOES THE JOB
BOTTOM LINE> Terrific for many uses. However, not the best choice for long term food storage. I find them VERY useful for covering containers for cooking in my microwave and for temporarily protecting bowls of food out on my counter.FOOD STORAGE> The lids just "sit" on top of the bowl (etc.) and are not held in place, so they can be easily bumped off. By coincidence (?) the lids are usually exactly the diameter of most bowls (etc), which means if they are bumped, then a gap is left, and the contents are left less-protected.>The lids themselves are "floppy", and therefore you cannot stack containers covered with these lids. The bottom line is that the lids are terrific to cover a bowl or two in the fridge for a few minutes to a few hours---but in practice, they don't work too well for long term storage.> Forget about the "vacuum" or "suction" that so many deluded reviews rave about. The lids conform to the lip of the bowl (etc.) and therefore seal well---but they don't "stick" as some reviewers imply---they are just lids. You CAN make a vacuum by lifting the lid by the little handle in the middle, but as soon as you release the lid, the vacuum disappears.> For food storage I recommend Pyrex 6-Piece 2-Cup Glass Food Storage Set with Lids, and other containers of the same brand in different sizes.AS COOKING LIDS> The lids are safe up to about 400 degrees (Fahrenheit). Therefore they are safe for use in microwaves because water boils at 212 degrees (this phenomenon prevents anything that contains much water getting hotter than 212 degrees without burning). CAUTION, do not use the silicon lids for deep frying --- because oil can get much hotter than 400 degrees. CAUTION, the lids get soft when hot, and so may fall into your pot---so use an oversize lid.--> The lids are great for heating food in a microwave, because they do a good job of holding in the steam, but releasing any pressure. Or, you can simply use the silicon lids as a cover to prevent splashing -- even directly on top of food (unless it is very oily). You can use almost any microwave-safe bowl (or similar container) in your microwave to heat foods. Some reviewers complain that it is hard to "leave a gap" to vent steam --- but that's nonsense, any steam pressure just pushes the lids up and escapes.--> The lids are useable for covering sauce pots on your stovetop -- but I find the glass or metal lids which came with the pots to almost always be the better choice.--> The lids may even be used to cover baking dishes in a conventional oven, but I'd only use them for low temperature baking, say < 325 degrees. For normal to high temperature baking, use aluminum foil to cover baking dishes in the oven.--> I have a rectangular silicon lid that I use when microwaving food in a rectangular casserole dish. For many dishes which are normally baked, I cook them in my microwave in a casserole dish (covered with a silicon lid), and finish off with a short uncovered "broil" in my oven to brown the top.AS TEMPORARY COVERS> Surprisingly (at least to me), in addition to microwaving, I use the lids most often to simply cover bowls and plates of food on the counter; to hold in heat before serving; to prevent the food from dying out; or to keep off flies, etc.GENERAL> At $12, the InfiDeals set is a better price than the QooWare (at $19), if you can live without the 4" lid.> The QooWare set comes in a nice retail box, and so makes a good gift.. The InfaDeals comes in a crummy plastic shipping-type envelope, and isn't attractive as a gift.DISADVANTAGES> The only problem I've found is that the lids can sag substantially when they get really hot, and escaping steam can move a lid to the side (with the result that the food you are heating dries up too much). So, usually you don't want to use a lid that "just fits", you want one that's a little "too large", in order to counteract the sagging and shifting.> Click on “Stoney” just below the product title to see my other reviews, or leave a comment to ask a question.

No vent holes
So I bought these to use in the microwave. Problem is, they have no vent holes. Which means that if you use them to cover soup or easy Mac or whatever, you still have to have a way to prop the cover open or the stuff will explode. Because there are no vent holes.I was unhappy and returned them.

Save on cleanup!
These lids work great as covers for the bowls in the microwave. I have also used one on a pan on the stove and it worked well there too. At first I didn't like the fact that they don't lay flat because of the little raised handles on the top. Then I burned myself on the steam by lifting the edge and now I know why the little handle is there. They work very well and the sizes are appropriate for the bowls and coffee cups and even a 12" skillet.

Amazing
These are amazing. I tried the silicone stretch covers and was not pleased with them. These are great. The only problem is that I have a lot of bowls and only one set of these. I will reorder more later. Wish there was one big enough for my very large mixing bowls
