Ben NyeChestnut Powder 42gm/1.5oz

Being a woman of color, finding make-up that works for me is almost impossible. Most cosmetic companies don't understand that women of color are just that "in every color". Some of us have warm undertones, while others have a cool undertone, some of us have a reddish hue, while others need yellow green or blue in their cosmetics and I'm a reddish undertone. I've tried several store brand powders that look warm in their containers but after getting home and applying them to my face,they make me look ashy or washed out (see the third picture) and at 60 you don't want to look washed out or dead already! So someone recommend Ben Nye powder to me, I researched this because I didn't want anymore products I'd never use again. Was I pleasantly surprised to discover the various shades of powder that this line had. I was a bit confused though since none of the swatches were shown on someone of my skin tone but knowing I lean towards reddish undertones, I chose Chestnut and it was spot on. Not to red, orange or ashy brown this color was perfect. The powder gave me excellent coverage, added warmth to my color and set my make-up perfectly. No more store powder, I've found just what I needed..thank you Ben Nye for taking care of WOC!

I’m 55 with acne scars and textured skin. Everything looks terrible on me now but not this. Ben Nye Chestnut Powder has a very orange hue so avoid this if you don’t like that. It works great for me IMO. The last picture was taken at the end of the day. Just primer and the powder with no touch ups other than lipstick. Soft, buildable coverage, easy to blend, washes away gently, no irritation or breakouts. Recommend! 👍🏾

This is so soft it lasts 4ever n honestly makes my face way smooth. I love it. Im editing my orig review. I'm almost 49 I'm finding myself n a new place w/makeup. What used to mk my face look younger now makes it appears older & draw attention 2my wrinkles. This does NOT. It's now my fav 4under eye discoloration, my new foundation yesss foundation i apply this over primer. Reg foundations 2thick n heavy makes wrinkles look aweful lol. I now have 5dif shades of this. I LOVE it. It's my blush, foundation under eye lightener I use it instead of alot of different things I used too. This lil containers lasted me over a 1yr & I use it daily. I get so many compliments on my makeup & skin now than when I used tons a different things. Can't say enuf positive I love this stuff.

So I love love the look of this make up. HOWEVER it doesn’t stay on if it’s touched.I wore it for the 1st time on a date. After a quick make out session I noticed his face was 3 different shade !!!! It was so embarrassingI gave him a make up remover cloth and was like sorry new make up guess it’s not the great -_-I will try again with primer and setting spray and update

This particular shade was a little too dark for me. But I love the rich red undertone. I just need a shade lighter.
