I think these are genius, great for small spaces and they make it much easier to clean because they're not cluttering up the floor.I was very disappointed that the Bedshelfie doesn't fit on my bed (a habitat Mondial) because it has an outer decorative panel and inside a metal frame with slats. Clipping the Bedshelfie to the outer frame means the metal frame stops it from going down as far as it needs to. It's wide enough to clip onto the outer and metal frames together, but then the mattress support slats get in the way.Although i don't think it's quite as good, i would have tried the divan version which slips under the mattress and lies flat, but that won't fit my bedframe either. I recommend googling the habitat Mondial or checking my photos and comparing your bed to it before buying the Bedshelfie, because thanks to my disability, returning it is proving to be a bit of a hassle.

I purchased two of the larger-sized Bed Shelfies (the Bed Shelfie Plus) for my sons who were going away to college for the first time this fall. Both colleges had the majority of their dorm beds lofted, so I wanted the boys to have a place for their alarm clocks and to set their phones or a drinks etc. I selected the Bed Shelfie because, from reading reviews, Bed Shelfie seemed to have the best clamping mechanism and also because Bed Shelfie offered the larger sized shelf, which the others did not. Also, Bed Shelfie seemed to be the original, or at least one of the originals -- the product the others were trying to copy. The Bed Shelfies arrived promptly, were well packed, and looked great and very well made.To be honest, my sons scoffed at me for buying the Bed Shelfies when they first arrived looking much like flat pieces of wood. My sons frequently teased me in the weeks leading up to dropping them off at school that I was buying too much stuff for their dorms -- most of which was stuff they were sure they would never need. They put the Bed Shelfies in that same category. However, upon arriving at the dorm room for my first son, he changed his tune almost immediately. He took one look at that bed and almost instantly began asking where "that bed shelf thing" went. He tore through all the stuff we'd brought until he found it and immediately put it up. It was so simple to install that he did it himself without any guidance or help from his father. He also announced that I had been right and that he had been wrong, and that the bed shelf was the best thing I'd bought! Music to a mother's ears. When we moved his brother in to his own dorm later that week, he was similarly happy with his shelf. My first son had a bed that had no real headboard or footboard and no railings other than the ones holding the springs in place which were more or less bent in an "L" shape. Nevertheless, my son was still able to clamp the Bed Shelfie to that railing and it worked perfectly. The other boy had a headboard and we clamped the shelf to that. It worked perfectly there as well. The large shelf may be a little pricy but I'd say it was worth it. The only thing I did not like was the color choice of the Plus sized shelves. All of the colors seemed geared to girls' rooms. There were no dark colors like black or navy, which is what most boys want. In the end, I went with the natural color, but would have preferred black. Still, this is a great product, a great idea and I am telling my friends all about it.

Es ist solide verarbeitet, sehr stabil und die Klemmung ist ordentlich mit Filz gepolstert. Ein Möbelschreiner hätte noch die Kanten angefast, wenigstens oben an der umlaufenden Einfassung. Das ist aber schon jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau und macht es auch nicht preiswerter.Mein Fazit: Wer an Winterwochenenden morgens gerne noch lange im Bett bleibt wird es lieben. Die Kaffeetasse ist sozusagen im Liegen greifbar, wesentlich praktischer als wenn sie auf dem normalen Nachttisch steht. 5 Sterne von mir, 4 wären auch vertretbar, schlechtere Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Ich habe es in der Größe "Plus" in "Bambus Natur". Kleiner scheint mir persönlich nicht sinnvoll zu sein. Wenn man z.B. mal ein paar Tage krank ist sollte ja auch mehr darauf passen als nur eine Kaffeetasse.

This product does what is was (seemingly) designed to do very well. I do wish there were a few other variations available, for the way *I* need to use it, but that's not really the fault of the product.For example, I wish there was something concealing the metal screws which clamp the product in place. When used on a normal, shin-height bed, they're under the shelf so no one can see them, but since I need to use this on a loft bed they are very visible, since the shelf is up high.Another example is the slot cut in the side of the lip. It's too skinny to fit, say, a power strip cable or a thick laptop charger, but it was obviously designed with a phone charger or similar USB cable in mind.Lastly, while the wood style (the one I ordered) is very nice, it's not the color I would have wanted. (I needed a chestnut wood to match).Of course, *none* of the above are *negatives* about the product, really. It's a good product, I just wish it were perfect.

I originally ordered the original BedShelfie for my daughter to use in her dorm room. The listing indicated that it would fit her laptop, but unfortunately upon receipt I discovered that her laptop was a bit too large to sit properly inside the edges of the shelf. I wrote out to the company and pretty much immediately received a response from the owner of the company asking me for a little more detail and a photo of the issues I was experiencing. Once it was confirmed that the laptop did not fit, I was offered a solution of receiving a BedShelfie Plus in place of the original for the same price. I simply had to process a return for the original and purchase the upgraded model and I would receive a credit for the difference once everything was confirmed. I did have to follow up a little while after the new purchase, but again the response was very fast and I did receive the credit. Unfortunately, once we arrived at my daughter's dorm, we decided against using the BedShelfie at all and the return window had closed. I have no doubt that it is a sturdy shelf from a great company with awesome customer service!
