Does the job but grip is not that great

The way it holds blades is problematic at best. While using it I find the blade moved it would slide forward and back slightly and either side would do so independently. As a result the aggressiveness of the shave changed with the blade protruding more or less at random, and the blade would but remain aligned with the razor handle.Sad because it would be very easily fixed in manufacturing, add two more pins to hold the blade in front of the side tabs, mill a blade shaped pocket into the head, or just don't polish the blade holder as much and let friction do the work for you.

So I'm going to be completely honest with all of you. I'm a professional, licensed, barber Stylist in the state of Florida. I'm really skeptical of what the market will claim for the products being offered. Every product claims to be professional grade or quality. What most people don't realize is that a professional product is not always the best per se, they are functional for the intended purpose, for a fair price that matches their expectations of longevity. I've had many different types of products that both surprised me and disappointed me. I've noticed something of a pattern. Every product has a pivot point of value and quality. If it didn't cost at least a certain amount you can count on it being less useful than its intended design. Or it's too expensive then your paying not than you should. This straight is the perfect balance of both. Sure their may be better products but they are so much more money is not worth it. Well at the same time they are not so cheap as to how they are going to be manufactured cheaply it shoddy engineering. Thanks for being the best example of this.

The blades are not sharp enough to replace even the cheapest disposable out there. If you don't mind the cuts, the one purpose this serves would be that 1st shave after a months vacation. It will not clog but it will bite.

I love this razor. It is very well made (doesn't look cheap at all) and has a good weight. Easy to use. Highly recommended.

This straight edge blade holder is great for the money and the fact that it brings 100 razors with it is an added bonus. . I would recommend this to anyone thats looking for an affordable but quality straight edge holder.
