Q: Why did mine start leaking from the bottom of the unit?

I don't know.. mine doesn't.. However if you fill it too much that can happen.. place the bottle in the empty receptacle and let it fill up by itself. If it still leaks return it and get a replacement. good luck..

Q: The output door does not stay up, any suggestions?

It stay up as long as there is mist being produced. When turned off or when water bottle is empty, the output door closes.

Q: Could I use this in my car if I put it on a level area?

I guess technically you could if you have a plug and some place to keep it level and stable (to not fall over).

Q: I want to use this in a small room. Will it soak everything in the room? I currently have a bigger one and it soaks everything.

We used it in a standard size hotel room. I didn't notice any moisture on anything, not even on the table it was sitting on.
