Novelty MFG 48098 Antique Kettle Planter, 9-Inch, Black

I thought this would be a great planter, but... first off, it is not a planter. Yes, you can drill a hole in anything and make it a planter, but honestly this looks/ feels more like a cheap plastic Halloween basket. Even if you do drill a hole in it, it will still be very thin plastic. mine is going back. Sad. I would have loved this if it were what it ought to be, if it were reasonably thick. Of course you can plant in a Halloween bucket if you want to, and then it would cost you a dollar or two, and you would have no expectation that the plastic were more than a few millimeters thick. Now, if this were advertised as a Hallloween bucket. That would work, and you would not even need to drill a hole in it. In fact, if it were a bit bigger I would keep it to put candy out in, but this is really disposable quality.

I have a bunch of these caldron style pots for flowers and they work for me. They're well made and sturdy and have punch out drainage holes... although I think you could drill additional holes if you felt you needed them. I just personally like the look in my yard and they 've lasted longer than many of the other types I've used. The black color never fades. If you like black for planters you may just like these legged gems.

It has holes to punch out for drainage and it’s a nice planter but I wanted to hang it but the handle is plastic and not strong enough once it’s full of dirt and plants

Was so glad to fine these again. I have 2 that I’ve had for about 15 years and noticed they have cracks in them. So I wanted to get new ones for fall. I put mums in them in the fall and use them again for summer flowers for our front porch. They are large so I put a brick in the bottom before I add potting soil. Helps with drainage and taks up space so I don’t use as much soil. Highly recommend them!

The witch brew kettle arrived extra early! I am very surprised and happy. We havethhe electric flame to go in it for the kids Halloween party as carefully controlled as can be these days via FT. We do then act here and they watch there. Such fun!

I was given a 3 1/2 foot tall cactus in a tiny pot. i replanted it in this cauldron. it is plastic and a bit flimsy but it works and looks great.This was probably intended for Halloween candy but it has been repurposed.

I like how these look, but the plastic isn't very thick. Warps when you pick them up or move them. Had to reshape into a circle after filling with soil.

I love both of my planters but only had 1 handle instead of 2.They are a very good size. Look nice and very light to carry. 👍🏻👍🏻
