Ehhh...
We have a high volume mail room in our office where items get stapled, and then once they get get entered into the computer the staples are removed so the mail can be scanned. We wanted to get this to see if it would be a good alternative to the stapling and removal each day. Unfortunately it wasn't.Since our documents go through different sorting processes and get touched by several different people, we found that they were coming undone during the process and getting mixed up. We sadly had to go back to the stapling. However, as a stapler on it's own, without taking into consideration what you do with the papers afterwards, it really does work. It clinches the papers together, and would definitely hold for minor things like maybe it just gets filed right after, or doesn't go through too many hands. We ended up giving it to our HR person and she uses it for personnel and insurance documents so it's perfect for that.I love the concept of this item. I despise staples. They get stuck in the carpet, they're annoying to remove, and I hate it when I have to do a supply order just for more staples. But, I don't think we're able eliminate them completely at our office quite yet. If you have more low maintenance stapling needs, I think this is a perfect product.

Makes tiny self-tabs that hold a few sheets of paper together for filing
When I'm filing my household papers, sometimes I have multiple-page bills, etc that I want to keep together but don't want to waste a staple on. This device is not quite what I expected - thought it would make a larger cut-out tab to keep the pages together. The tiny tab this one produces allows pages to rotate around it, potentially coming apart. On the other hand, the small size takes minimum space on the page, so you can avoid areas with information on them.My advice: use it only on papers you're archiving, not on things that are actually likely to be handled again. Also, follow directions and place the edge of the paper against the stop, or you'll find yourself creating "tabs" that run off the edge of the paper - quite useless!

Eco friendly conversation starter in my classroom!
I’m a middle school graphic design teacher, and am always on the lookout for environmentally conscious ways to impact the classroom. As you can imagine, I have to hand out a LOT of papers to Kid’s everyday, and as long as they’re small packets of papers, this works out great! It forces me to be more aware of the amount of paper we’re using and the kids love it because it’s something different than they’re used to seeing. In fact, several science teachers have bought some after seeing mine and realizing the potential for students’ interactive notebooks and how these would completely eliminate the need for tape, glue or staples entirely; that saves time, money and is an eco conscious way to promote learning.Occasionally I’m able to cinch more than 5 pages, but 3-4 seem to be the magic number. If you absolutely can’t have pages separate or you handle your paperwork roughly, this isn’t the clincher for you.

Limited Use; Beware: Pink is not returnable
I bought these because I fold/make my own face mask liners using those blue shop towels. Right now, I staple, using 4 staples per mask liner, and I wanted to find an option that doesn't create more waste. I like the idea of this, but it was not practical for my use. Once folded, the area that I needed to "staple" gets a little thick so I had to really force this into the "stapling" area. This really slowed me down and I can't imagine doing this for all the liners I fold at one time. Then, it wasn't very secure. I like to make a bunch at once and then use one per day. These "staples" just didn't look like they would stay long term.

Neat, Clean, Economical!
Most of the time I use this for my credit card statements (1-3 pages), but it can do even more - I do recommend pressing & releasing the punch slowly though, so the tuck & fold fastening mechanism doesn't snag or come undone. It's a great alternative to staplers since you save on having to buy staples as well as remove them before shreading. I got it in pink, and although that's my favorite color, I wish I could have gotten yellow in this case, but it wasn't an option when selecting a color even though it was pictured ... either way, ... Great Product!

Staples have become obsolete
OK so you cannot use this on like a thick stack of paperwork BUT for a few pages that need to be attached, like turning in a 5 page double-spaced essay to a junior AP English teacher, you will be very pleased. Impress your friends with this clever gadget and never fear running out of staples again. 10/10 would recommend.

Love it!
Absolutely love this product. Came back to get another one. Hoping my boss will want to use it too. He is SO staple crazy it's maddening. This will definitely help with not having a staple pucker in the files. Now I can't decide whether to get another one like this or the desktop model. Quite possibly another one like this and the desktop. It really is a wonderful little gadget and very useful.
