All the error messages… nothing worked permanently when I tried to troubleshoot.Too much money for such a terrible coffee maker…. But it’s pretty….

I liked the coffee,I grind my own coffee, I had to put 2/3 of what they recommend and it tasted good, no doubt about it. But after like 6 months, at least every two weeks It does more than what I ask and it spills everywhere. I full the water container, put my cup and set it for a 12 Oz coffee, when I come back. Half the water container (which is about 50oz) is empty, my cup is overflowing there is coffee everywhere. Oh and there's a dripstop that worked in the first few months. But now everytime I have to clean under it cause there's enough coffee to make a small annoying mess. I'm at a point that I just leave a cloth under it so it's easy to do keep clean. I should not have to do that.I tried messaging the compagny, but instead of forwarding my e-mail. They just responded and said "It's not us, email THEM", It's a little thing to complain about but.. that's not really trying to help me, just passing the problem to someone else. I wish i could still get a refund and try something better for that heavy price.Don't bother, just buy something else.

Error 13, Error 22, Error 13 .. heater plate turns off after 60 minutes, no way to keep it on. Like other reviewers stated this unit spills coffee all over the counter, every day. After 6 months of use today the unit was flashing and the usual "unplug for 5 minutes to clear the error did not work" after multiple attempts. I don't write many reviews however this product is so bad that I find myself writing to hopefully save someone else the experience .. it's bad enough that I will never purchase another product from Braun. The compounding issues in this product could only be released by a deeply flawed company, design, and quality assurance team. It's not "cheap" so this is inexcusable. Total computerized garbage. Might be a good gift for someone you hate.. especially if they love coffee as the frustration with this product is truly remarkable.

Update! LEAKS EVERYWHERE!!! Expensive to have to replace after less than a year! Garbage! Don't buy!Makes excellent coffee there is no doubt about that! Seems to be good quality machine.I don't like that it beeps so much, like to tell you its done, and there is no way to turn off that beep. Annoying in the early morning when the little ones are still asleep.I also find the "Half pot" setting to be well under half a pot, seems odd that the sizes increase by tiny amounts until half then jumps to full, no 3/4 pot size, you can self correct by putting less water in the reservoir but still this is annoying to me.

I really wanted to like this machine. I wanted a machine that is SCO certified, which it is. However, there are several downsides that outweigh the SCO certification. I had to request a replacement from Braun Canada as the non-stick coating on the heating plate was wearing off after very little use (I usually select one cup at a time and rarely use the carafe). The replacement was promptly sent and I continued to use the machine for mostly one-cup brewing. Lo and behold, a month or so ago I noticed the non-stick coating on the heating plate has started to come off again. I might expect this to happen on a cheap off-brand from a discount store, but Braun presents itself as a premium brand. I certainly paid a premium price for it. I could start the process for a third machine as I still have warranty coverage but I am afraid that I will be disappointed again.Pros: Proper brew temperature for correct flavour extraction. Flexibility with cup/carafe amounts of coffee. Removable water tank for easy filling and cleaning.Cons: Poor quality control at the manufacturing level. Drip... drip... drip... long after brewing complete. Ridiculously sensitive touch controls.My bottom line? Don't waste your hard-earned dollars on this device. Braun needs to look closely at what they are trying to achieve with this "upscale" line of machines. Features are nice but quality is much more important. I don't expect longevity but am loathe to send all of this plastic and metal to the dumpster.

This machine seems to be a nice full featured coffee maker. I like that it has different blend modes and a timer function. I bought this in November 2021, so as of this writing, it is 5 months old. I cannot speak to the other reviewers who have said the machine didn't last more than a year or so, but I will revise if I encounter any issues in the future.The one quirk that really bugs me is the cleaning function. The control panel is a touch panel, and the cleaning "button" on the panel is immediately above the power button. I have accidentally set the machine to cleaning mode a few times when powering on the machine (it is very easy to press the power button and if you accidentally swipe upward a little bit you can set it into cleaning mode unintentionally). Once in cleaning mode, unfortunately you cannot cancel it and it has to complete the cycle. The timer says 23 minutes but it goes on for a lot longer than that. This one "feature" really sucks. I put a piece of tape over the clean button to prevent further accidental presses.
