Review of: EcoAroma Coco-Soy Candles, 96-Pack Jumbo Clear Cup Unscented Tealight Candles 8 Hours ExtendedDuring the winter months, I have tea lights lit every night. These are unscented but I have some oil I add on topin a scent I know won't set off an allergic reaction. I bought the extended burn version, and yes!! I do get 8 hours out of them. It gets dark so early this time of year, I love the ambience of glimmering tea lights in crystal votive holders. I also love the fact that I'm not adding any toxic vapors from the wax into my home. These are great candles. More expensive but for me, getting a full 7- 8+ hours out of them and not having to burn twice as many candles to get the same number of burn time hours every night, they're worth it. That's the good news...Now the bad...I bought 3 boxes and am on my 2nd one. I opened it two nights ago. I just hit upon a candle with no wick.OOPS! Sure hope there aren't more.Also, some of the wicks are off center-- a little too far off center. Enough to the side that I keep my eyeson them to make sure it doesn't create a problem, like burning the plastic holders.Which brings up my other problem...the biggest-- the PLASTIC HOLDERS. Isn't there something wrong with using this type of candle wax to avoid toxicity and air pollution but burning it in plastic?? Isn't heating the plastic releasing toxins into the air? I got rid of ALL the plastic in my kitchen because heat releases toxins in plastic.What's wrong with the traditional aluminum cups used in most tea lights? Wouldn't they be more air qualityhealth-wise friendly? I'd really like to be able to get the 8hr extended burn time candles in aluminum cupsinstead of the plastic ones.That's all it would take to move these candles into a 5 star rating instead of the overall 3.5 I gave it.Actually, it was the "packaging"--the plastic candle cups that got a 2-star rating and brought it all down.I wonder which is worse, what we got off traditional candle wax or what we get off the plastic? It seems likewe're defeating the entire purpose of the new waxes.

I ordered 96 and I got 48 and it was obviously a return because the box had been resealed.

I bought the 8-hour version in the clear cup, and they're great.I've burned about 10 of them so far. The shortest one lasted about 7.5 hours, but most have actually gone well past the 8-hour mark, some as long as ten hours. I'll definitely be buying this again.The clear cup means you get great light from these, even when they're nearly done. The plastic doesn't get hot or melt or anything (which was a concern of mine, since I always used metal cups in the past).These are a soy/coco wax, and they smell just like soy/coco wax when burning (I don't understand the complaints in some other reviews). The smell is slightly sweeter than just soy, not quite chocolate-smelling, but a close cousin. The flame is clean and smokeless.I melted some of this to put into larger tins. Can't wait to test those out and see if I can extend the burn time, but even if I can't, who can really complain about getting 8 hours from a single tealight-sized candle? Great stuff!

This is really a cut above the rest of the soy candles on amazon. I was surprised and happy with my purchase.

After a several day blackout, these things were a lifesaver. So much better than the typical tea lights that have an acrid smell. They lasted forever. I already ordered another box.

I liked the packaging of this item from the outer box to the inner box. Burns for the 6 hours stated and burns all the way to the bottom of the cup. I've already bought some more.

I was tired of tea lights that burned out in one dinner hour. These last much longer and I am happy with the overall quality.

Perfect tea candles. They burn longer than other tea candles I've had & they burn clean. Very nice!
