Excellent book covering basics
If you like Southeast Asian Cuisine, then this book is a great starter to exploring how to cook that food. I happen to be a lover of Malaysian, Filipino, Indonesian, Thai, Cambodian, and Vietnamese food. I am learning Burmese and Laotian. I have my own Makrut lime that is over 20 years old, A curry leaf tree, and I grow Rau Ram. I found this book to hit most of the high points of the cuisines. Of course, you can delve much deeper if you wish, but this is a good place to begin.
