Silk Night Cap by One Planet - Head Cover Bonnet for Beautiful Hair - Wake Up Perfect Daily!

I purchased this cap, to save my hair, because I use a CPAP machine, which has elastic head gear which goes across back of my head. I have ordered several others, but they were all too small. I have long, but fine hair. The bonnet, has lots of room left over.First, the silk is superb quality and I was so happy with it, when I first received. I noticed after wearing just a few times, it was getting too loose. Upon inspection, the elastic was rotting and breaking, all through the elastic, band. This is a shame, because it is a very high quality head cover. Designing and sewing my own clothing for many years, I recognize fabric, elastic, rot. I do not have a large head, just average, so no stress that way. In fact, it was not tight, at all, but just right, for first few wearings.It is all stretched out, due to elastic breaking but I clip it together with hair clip to make it tighter, now.Also, for CPAP wearers, the silk is a little slippery. I need to find one this size, in cotton.I hate to leave a review like this. It is possible, I got one of a bad lot and they are not all this way, but want to be honest. I could have returned it for exchange, but didn't, so that is my fault.

Does what it's supposes to do but it is not silk, it is silky. Big difference.

Let me preface this with saying that I have a very small head. It is difficult for me to find headbands small enough to fit. When I got this night cap, it fit perfectly and actually stayed on my head all night. After about a week or so, I noticed it has started to stretch a bit and I have to put it behind my ears for it to feel tight. It does still stay on all night, but I sometimes wake up with it almost down around my eyes.Other than the fit, it works really well. I have really oily hair and sweat a lot at night. I usually have to wash my hair everyday, but I have begun to try and go every other day. This cap keeps my hair soft and I am able to just re-style in the morning and go. I also have bangs and if I don't wear the cap they stick up all over the place. This cap keeps them tame and allows me to style them in the morning with no issues. Overall, I think it is a great cap and does exactly what it is supposed to. I just need to find something a little smaller (like a kids' size :) )

I bought this night cap because it is silk and I know that they keep your hair from tangling at night. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Naturally hypoallergenicI used it last night and it did not come off my head. That was surprising as well. Fun fact: sleeping on cotton pillowcases dries out your hair and causes breakage from snagging and tangling throughout the night. Waking up with bed head? No thanks. Those of us who in spite of the "no-poo" movement, can not leave the house every morning without washing our hair can relate to the discomfort of running our soapy fingers through that tangled mop to hit a knot. Keeping my hair in a pony tail while I sleep is uncomfortable and the elastic is no good for my locks! Such is why I purchased this night cap... You want to lock in your essential oils, eliminate knotting, snagging and breakage- This is hair insurance! It keeps your hair healthy and shiny. I bought one for my mom who has bleach blonde hair, and one for myself (most of my hair is natural but I still have some perm outgrowth from last year on my ends). If you want to maintain a healthy mane, a silk night cap is an essential. For this price, I can't see why you should deprive yourself. Go ahead and get one! Buy one for your mother, sister, or any other woman in your life... You might be doing someone a huge favor! Do yourself a favor!

The cap worked surprisingly well (based on my initial expectations) in keeping my curls in place. I have very thick curly hair, and every morning it resembles something like a birds nest - making it impossible to just get up and go. Using the head cover did allow me to wake up, toss my curls around some and go - not perfect but certainly presentable!The only reason I didn't give it '5' is my concern that as my hair grows I won't be able to fit it all in the cover - right now it's about shoulder length, but again very thick...but it fits for now, I'm using it and it's great to not have to completely wash my hair every morning so I don't have to wake up 40 minutes earlier. And it's very comfortable to sleep in!! :-)

So far pretty good. It’s kind of thin... and the shiny side is on the outside. Seems like for the purpose of this it would be shiny outside and in since it’s to keep hair from getting frizzy. The rough side is inward, so it almost defeats the whole purpose of wearing nothing a inside out flip didn’t fix though. For the price it’s ok...Really it’s kind of expensive for one layer I shoulda just sewn my own. I may sew a shiny layer to the inside so I don’t have to wear it inside out, as that’s what I am doing to keep my hair nice. The elastic is thin as well so it doesn’t stay on all night, but I also have satin pillow cases so it’s not too big of a deal.
