Not flimsy at all. Covers are tight for travel. For an idea on size, each compartment holds about 8 large vitamin pills, 3 typical capsules and 2-3 smaller pills. Slide up to detach each day.Suggestion - have covers open facing the same direction on am/pm.

I have previously purchased this pillbox with the yellow and pink lids as shown on the packaging. They are more translucent and you can see the pills easily. The blue/red lids that came with this set are almost opaque so you really have open the lid to see if you still have to take your meds. Otherwise I love the larger size and the ability to take them apart and change the order of days (I think of the week as starting on Mon). They can be a little sticky at first to take apart but loosen over time - a little wiggling does the trick.

I imagine the image of just 4 measly pill boxes and the "NEW! Mucho-Jumbo" mumbo-jumbo may dissuade folks from placing an order with their hard-earned money, but these are real big and sturdy. I doubt I'll ever detach any, but I suppose if I just need a few pills for a weekend I could. Each slot is the diameter of a quarter and near twice as long.Update 18 FEB 14:One of the lids on a slot was difficult to close, so I Mongo-d it. It snapped off when I opened it; this type of plastic is not the best for flexibility. Changed from a 5 star to 2.

I take many pills, and the old pill containers I had were just not big enough for my AM and PM meds. So I had to carry around three pill containers for each day, and when I am out and about this was a pain in the.... So it was time to upgrade to bigger containers and these did the trick. I can now carry around all my AM and PM pills in one container and then one for the afternoon and midnight meds. Easy to pop in and out and perfect for travel or if you just want a small pill container with you to carry when doing stuff in town.

Solid and works great. I wish it was a little larger.

I have two sets of these already and they are large enough to hold many large-sized pills (such as vitamins) as well as Rx meds. We use them not just for travel, but every day at home as well. I can prepare a weeks-worth of my daily AM & PM dosages and vitamins on Sunday morning, and just work out of the pill organizer all week long. It's a real time saver!

When I go away it's good to know that I will not miss any medication. a good product to have when one is taking medication everyday.

It takes up some room, but it it a good product for the money.
