Well i bought the item in hopes it would be last thing to check off the list before the season started. Once i received it, intial tought of product it looked legit. Finish of pruduct looks nice. My issue is that the center hub is not properly align with the prop its off by 3/16 of in. So when you put it on sits a bit closer towers the leg motor lower unit cap bearing. So i got in contact with michigan Marine and they recommend me to a shop located in my city wich is a 45 min drive one way. So i took it there and brought my old prop for comparison and sure enough the shop notice the diffrence and decide to relocate the hub. Once that was done everything look good once install. Took the boat out a few weeks later after recieved it and spend the whole day out on the water. So when i pull the boat out of the water i notice that the prop had been rubbing on my two screws that hold the cap bearing. Off the top of my head i new the prop had shifted backwards. So i contacted Michigan and recommendations from them was to take it back to the shop, once there they looked at it and told me that the cause was from the screws supposlelly where stick out. I uad previously drop off my orginal to them to fix it and i hadn't recieved it back just yet. Once i recieved my orginal one back from repairs i compared it and sure enough it had shifted almost a rntire 1/4 in. So the shop it self replces it with a brand new one after talking with Michigan. Once a gain the new replcement was off specs compare to my orginal one i showed the shop the diffrence but refused to accept that the prop was out of specs and continue to point out the screws where to far out. The first pic shows how the original one sits and you can see how the silver screws stick out a tad bit but no where near touches the prop. The second pic shows the new Michigan prop where it rub on the silver allen bolts on top and bottom. You can tell also how flush is the bronze center hub with the prop. On the third pic you can see how much diffrent the bronze center hub pop out away from the prop. So thats the main issue with product i kept the new replcement as a backup and decided to keep using my original one. If you ask me its a expensive spare part to keep it as a back up, my whole intentions was to do the opposite. Fix the orginal and keep that as a back up and use the new one.
