I've never had issues with corsair memory and this is no exception. It performs as well as it can for an outdated format and does come with an overclocking profile that recognizes on the asus motherboards. I did find the heat sink was making it impossible to fit the last stick in with my cpu cooler. Fortunately, others had this issue and provided a quick solution. A heat gun and something thin to pry it off is all it took (recommend those cell repair or ifix kits). The heat really makes the thermal glue easy to separate without breaking anything, so don't be afraid if you have to. Like you'd also probably expect I noticed no difference with memory performance after taking the sink off even with overclocking.

Had a few issues getting it to be stable....computer kept crashing but it turns out that it was the combination of the x58 platform of my board,not being naturally predisposed to handling 12GB of ram much less at 1600mhz , although documentation says otherwise got some help the get the bios configured to support it better and it is stable now.So despite the issues that took a while to clear up I gave it four stars, yessssss......even though my issues had more to do with my hardware than the product itself.........got to take something out for pain and suffering :)

Corsair, being one of the top manufacturers of memory and flash products, has a real winner with this set! Tooling around with VM Workstation, continuously running multiple applications, and 15 IE tabs, a 12GB upgrade was on the warranted and on the menu . The fact that these sticks run at the specified 1.5 volts was a plus (more efficiency, less heat + more) that caught my eye. They also have XMP profiles built in, so when I am feeling froggy, I can crank everything up, and get them well past their 1600Mhz rating.With a price that is very fair, a solid look and feel, and the Corsair name - this was a win-win-win.

Once setup, working great.These sticks are a little bit tricky to get running at 1600 Mhz speeds on certain motherboards. I've heard of people having trouble on X58 based Asus and EVGA boards so far, had a few hiccups getting them running smoothly on my EVGA X58 SLI LE. More an operator issue, rather than the memory itself.The problem I was having was that the sticks would be stuck at 2:8 @ 1066 Mhz, regardless of XMP Profiles I would assign, or the memory settings I input manually. Overclocking my base clocks to reach 1600Mhz worked, but it wasn't Prime stable. Besides, I should have been able to run at stock clocks at 2:12|1600Mhz. The problem, as discovered, was that there were two "Turbo" settings in my BIOS. One was a "Turbo Mode", which added a bonus multiplier (good thing), the other was a "Turbo Performance" setting nested in the voltage controls, which was more of an eco friendly turbo mode (bad thing). It was the latter that had my memory multiplier stuck at 2:8. Disabling it quickly resolved the issue.I haven't pushed the memory all that much, but it has been reliable with a mild overclock @ 2:10, 1663Mhz, stock voltages.

This is awesome ram. I have it running on a Gigabyte EX58-UDR3R with 0 problems. I am able to run at 1600 @ 9 9 9 24 1t with 1.5v. Some reviews show this ram to function up to around 2000Mhz with more voltage. But I'm happy where it's at now. WEI shows it as a 7.8 for the ram but that's just a number, but a good one! This is certainly not low-profile memory, so make sure of your dimensions before you purchase for your computer. If you have a large CPU cooler it might not fit. Truly plug and play for me.

Replaced 6 gig triple ram with these on a 5 year old Asus P6x58 Premium MB with i7-920 processor. Setup ram in bios with 1.25 QPI & 1.200 volts to processor running @ 3.8ghz. Memtest86 ran with no issues and win 7 64bit is stable. I had a time setting up the original ram in this system 5 years ago & was not looking forward to re-living the challenges I had previously with the Asus x58 motherboard & i7-920, but these were a breeze to install.Great price & good performance!

I was very pleased with this item. Three sticks of RAM. Lots of space. For my work I do a lot of grinding data in R, which holds everything in RAM and I was always running out. I stuck these babies in, and it's no longer a problem.One caveat: the heat spreaders are a little on the tall side. My video card heat sink (passive, and admittedly large) prevented me from loading these into the three slots that I would have liked to use. Luckily I have 6 slots total. I put my old RAM close to the video card and these farther away.I suppose I could have removed the heat sinks if I really needed to. Anyway...something to be aware of. Probably similar to other brands that come with heat sinks.

Ram un po' datata, usata in una workstation/pc game del 2009 che all'epoca aveva prestazioni al top di gamma; ancora efficacie nel 2022. Disponevo di 12gb ma per alcune applicazioni e lavori ne usavo il 75% ed il pc ne era rallentato. Ora dopo questo acquisto ne dispongo di 24gb ed il pc risulta sempre efficace. Virtualizzo dei programmi su ram per le migliori prestaizoni. 10 e lode a questa vecchia ram.

Ce kit mémoire fonctionne très bien, elle a augmenté la capacité mémoire de mon PC de 12GO.

I got two sets of this memory. So far, they have worked well and were very reasonably priced.

They say that 24Gb is as high as an x58 can go, but you should never do it because if you try to fill two banks you'll get stability problems.I have an Asus P6X58D Premium with (currently) 18 Gigs of RAM. I have this set of 12 in one bank, and another bank of 3x2 for the 6 gigs in the other bank.Because it's 1600 RAM, I can overclock my CPU, so the DRAM is currently running at 1433MHz quite stably, which gives me an almost 40% overclock on the CPU. I've ramped up the core volts and DRAM volts slightly to bed in the stability, and it's all running fine.These are darn good DRAMs! They have high heat spreading fins, but they're pretty slim, so they fit neatly between the other 3 which are Corsair XMS3's, a bog standard line that they do. So I can confirm that the dominators and standard RAMs work together nicely, no glitches at all. In mem tests, they do very well, even on this ageing rig!Fitting them is simple, they're well engineered and snap straight into the sockets with no force, and because of the high heat spreaders you can keep your fingers well away from the mobo when you're slotting them in.Five stars! Awesome :)
